Anything Goes - Weeks #710-711

Welcome back, everyone. Are you all ready for another amazing challenge with us here at Word Art Wednesday? It's always most fun when YOU are able to join us. The more, the merrier. We really enjoy seeing your amazing cards linked up here, and we appreciate each and every card you share with us. Best of luck in the random draw. We hope that you'll enjoy the brief devotional, the inspirational cards that are being shared, and the super FUN challenge we have ready for you now. Thanks for being here to take part in the FUN.

The scripture in focus for this challenge is Lamentations 3:24 which reads, "The LORD is my portion, saith my soul: therefore, will I hope in Him". This is a beautiful Bible verse that reassures us of the profound sense of hope and reliance on God's faithfulness and mercy that we are able to experience new every morning. Each and every day as we wake up, we can be assured that the LORD (Jehovah God in the Old Testament and Jesus Christ in the New Testament - same person, same ONE God) is always present to uphold us. When we ask God to enter into our lives, we enter an eternal covenant (promise) with Him that allows us to experience His love, peace and mercies that are new every morning. When you wake up in the morning, just say THANK YOU, LORD. Thank you for being present for me every single day, for equipping me for all that I will encounter this day, and for making a way for me to spend forever in Your presence. What amazing blessings we have through His promises. Praise God!

As always, you are welcome to save the word art to your computer; but you are never required to use it in order to play along or to win in our challenges. We welcome you to share all of your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family friendly. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards). You may link up to five (5) projects each week for a total of ten (10) entries per two-week challenge. Any entries over that limit will be deleted and will make you ineligible to win. Weeks #708-709 - Anything Goes

Welcome back to the best challenge blog we could have ever prayed for, Word Art Wednesday! We're so glad you're here to join us, and we want you to know that we completely realize that our challenges couldn't continue without YOU, our participants. Our scripture for this word art is Hebrews 13:8 and it says, "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever". How beautiful! These few simple words tell us exactly why we love and trust God SO much. It's because He (God/Jesus Christ) is the same God right now today that He always has been (from the beginning of time) and that He always will be. WHO He is never changes, WHAT He said never changes, what He DID on the cross changes us eternally, and His promises are true forever. What a BLESSING to know that our God, Jesus Christ, never changes and that His truths and promises never change. I praise God for being the AWESOME God He is, and for being so consistent and dependable. Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever".

Anything Goes - Weeks #692-693

Welcome back to Word Art Wednesday, everyone. We're so glad you're here. Whether you've been playing along with us for years, or if you're brand new to our challenge; we welcome you warmly. We want everyone to know that YOU MATTER TO US, and we care about you. We're happy to pray for you if you have a prayer request. Secondary to our love for the Lord and our desire to help everyone draw closer to Him, we love seeing the amazing art you share with us. WOW! You're all so talented, and it's a blessing to see all the wonderful cards and projects you create to share in our challenges. Thanks for being here. We appreciate you.

Our scripture verse of focus for this challenge is Psalm 147:11 and it says, "The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear Him, in those that hope in His mercy". This is very straight-forward in its meaning. To "fear" God means to KNOW Him, to RESPECT Him and to fully ACKNOWLEDGE Him as the Creator, Author, and Ruler of all things. Realizing that God alone has complete authority over everything, and by submitting our lives fully to Him and His will for us, these things are known as "living in the fear" of the Lord. It's not an intimidation tactic, and God doesn't want us to run and hide from Him in fear. To fear the Lord is more about respect and acknowledgement. When we truly know God, we will automatically have a level of fear and respect for who He is. He is EVERYTHING. Those who place their eternal hope in what Jesus has done for us on the cross are "placing their hope in His mercy". When we know Him, we respect Him. When we fear Him, we respect Him. When we accept His precious eternal gift, we will begin to "fear" Him. These are all things that not only bless us; but they bring joy to God. I want to bring Him joy. He's done SO MUCH for me. So, by acknowledging Him for Who He IS....we bring Him pleasure. What a joy to know that He can be blessed by me. I know that He sure has blessed my life and brought me pleasure. How about you?
