Anything Goes - Weeks #750-751

Here we are at the end of April already. WOW. This year is flying by quickly, isn't it? This is a very busy time of year for many of us as we begin to prepare for the Summer, graduations, weddings, trips and all sorts of activities. We're so grateful and blessed when you take the time to stop by and share your amazing art in our challenges. Please know that we appreciate each and every entry - even when we don't get to your social media to say hello. You are important to us, and you are appreciated. Please don't ever doubt that. We have another really FUN challenge for you with an AWESOME sponsor, a brief devotional to encourage you, and lots of great inspiration to get you started.

Our scripture of focus this time is Revelation 4:11 and it reads, "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for Thou hast created all things, and for Thy pleasure they are and were created". Despite the world view (or views) on how things were created, we know as Christians that God and ONLY GOD created our world. Because He is God, He is all-powerful, all-knowing, and He alone created this world by His supreme power. He is worthy to receive all the glory, honor, and praise for being WHO HE is and for doing what He has done. God has existed forever. The world was dark and void. God, in six literal days, created everything. He created it for His pleasure (because it pleased Him to do so), and He alone deserves all our praises. The world wants us to somehow believe that NOTHING ran into NOTHING in outer space, and by NOTHING running into NOTHING, everything was suddenly created. That makes NO sense whatsoever. We can clearly see God in every detail, and we can see, in so many ways, that there absolutely had to be a divine Creator....someone who could make all those things come into existence and to make them last until He returns. You'll never get me to believe otherwise. I certainly didn't just "evolve". I was created by God. He is in every detail. It's important to recognize this and to give Him glory, praise and thanks for being the amazing God and Creator that He is. This allows us to understand Him, to appreciate Him, and to begin to live for Him. No doubts. It takes great faith, but it's ALWAYS the way to get closer to Him and to enjoy all the blessings He has for us - in this life and for all eternity. Praise God.

As always, you are welcome to save the word art to your computer; but you are never required to use it in order to play along or to win in our challenges. We welcome you to share all of your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family friendly. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards). You may link up to five (5) projects each week for a total of ten (10) entries for each two-week challenge. Any entries over that limit will be deleted and will make you ineligible to win. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning. It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and an encouragement to you as we share it. Anything Goes - Weeks #734-735

The fact that you're here is awesome, and we appreciate you. We're beyond grateful to have you here with us for another FUN challenge where you can use the creative gifts that God has given you. Our scripture of focus is Romans 12:2 and it says, "And be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God". When these words were being penned, Paul was speaking to Christians and he was urging them to resist conforming to worldy values; but rather, encouraging people to renew their minds towards Christ and to also be renewed in their thinking. God has so many great things intended for His people. Paul was (and is) encouraging people to live and conduct their lives walking closely with God in a way that reflects their desire to fully know and follow Him. When we're truly living for God, we will become renewed and strengthened, and others will be able to clearly see us living our best lives for His glory. No matter where you are in your walk with God, we can always draw closer. We can always become further transformed and able to experience ALL that He wants for each of us. Let's each purpose in our heart to draw closer to God than ever before. Let this be the day, month, year, etc. that we experience God like never before. He has ALL that is good and acceptable and perfect for you. Don't miss out on His blessings.

Anything Goes - Weeks #724-725

WELCOME! We're so glad you're here with us again. I do apologize for the super late start this time. I'm just going to be honest with you all in saying that I'm a bit stressed. To make a long story short, my parents are aging (87 and 92) and they're struggling a bit. I just got back from visiting them (NV to MN) and my hubby is there now. Someone will have to be there with them from now on, I'm guessing. Anyway, things have been stressful, and your prayers are always greatly appreciated. Nonetheless, I do apologize for another late start. It seems to be happening a lot, and sadly, may continue. God is SO GOOD and I trust that He will give me the strength and ability to get it all accomplished with grace. Praise God! Now......let the FUN begin.

What a darling font used to give us our word art which comes from 1 Thessalonians 5:16-17 says, "Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing". These words have become such a blessing and encouragement to me over the years as I've discovered what it feels like to "pray without ceasing". It's a concept I've undertaken in my daily life that's blessed me tremendously. Now, please know first that I'm not proclaiming to be some kind of super-Christian by any means. All it means is that I've learned to place myself in an ongoing conversation with God where I'm praying all day and all night. I simply keep talking to Him. And unlike my husband, He won't fall asleep on me....He'll listen all night. And not only does God LISTEN to our prayers, but He also HEARS and ANSWERS them. It's easy to moan, whine and complain. It's so much better and so much more effective, however, to PRAY instead. Praying to God is a gift and a privilege, and we can best utilize this tremendous gift by staying in a spirit of prayer all the time. So, you're not literally praying (knees bent, hands folded, head bowed, etc.) without stopping; but you're remaining in a spirit of prayer and communication with God throughout the day 24/7. I hope that makes sense to anyone who isn't familiar with this verse. It's such a BLESSING to talk with God. It will really bless you, too. God loves to hear from us. Praying without ceasing.
