Anything Goes - Weeks #766-767

Welcome by, everyone. Thank you for being here at Word Art Wednesday as we begin another FUN art challenge. The wonderful cards you've all been creating this Summer have blown us away. We really do consider ALL of you winners in our book. Your art and creativity inspire us so much, and we're grateful beyond words to have you play along and share with us. If there was a way that I could send a prize to every entry, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Please know that I do pray for you all (I really and truly do). That's a gift, too. And I'm happy and blessed to do it because I'm grateful for you all and the amazing art you share with us here. We couldn't have a challenge blog without YOU. God loves you, and we're super grateful for you as well.

Our scripture for this challenge is Mark 11:22 and it reads, "So Jesus answered and said to them, have faith in God". In this situation, Jesus was speaking to His disciples following an incident where a fig tree had withered (it's quite a good story here in Mark if you'd like to read it). Jesus was reminding His disciples about the importance of having a true, deep and unwavering FAITH in God. In the surrounding verses, Jesus reminds them that having this kind of FAITH and TRUST in God the Creator is vital. When we learn to completely trust God, we will experience life in a new way. Knowing that God is always in complete control allows us to focus on other things. It reduces our stress and helps us become all God wants for us. In fact, our faith in God can lead to miraculous outcomes. YES! MIRACLES! God can do ANYTHING He wills to do. The main reason why we don't see the big miracles is because we lack that level of faith. Jesus uses the illustration of a mountain being moved. If the mountain is in your way, and it's God will for that mountain to be moved out of your way, don't you doubt for one second that HE CAN MOVE IT. God wants to do BIG things in your life (and in mine), but first, we have to allow our faith to grow. The next time you're facing a trial (whether it's a huge life-changing issue or even if it's a smaller issue), I encourage you to PRAY about it. Praying is the way we can communicate with God. Prayer needs to be an automatic go-to tool in our lives. No matter what you're facing, big or small, go to God in prayer. Lay your burdens at His holy feet and then have that kind of FAITH that truly knows and trusts that God WILL answer our prayers. He doesn't always answer it in the way we wanted, but He will always answer us according to what His will for us is (because He alone ultimately knows what's best). And quite honestly, we wouldn't really want to just have our way all the time and not live within His perfect will for our lives. FAITH is what will see us through until, one day, we are with Him for all eternity. How exciting and reassuring to know. Have FAITH, friends.

Anything Goes Weeks #758-759

Here we are nearing the end of June already. It's hard to believe that we're more than halfway through this "new" year. Oh, my heart....Christmas will be sneaking up on us before we know it. I'm trying to live in the moment, but I can't help but think of the busy months ahead. As we prepare for this FUN new challenge here at Word Art Wednesday, my heart is filled with praise for all the blessings and ways God continues to provide for us and taken care of this little challenge blog of ours. We couldn't do it without each and every one of YOU, so thanks for being here. Oh, by the way.....wait until you see the awesome prize our wonderful Sponsor is offering for this challenge. WOO HOO!!

Our scripture for this piece of word art is Hebrews 6:10 and it says, "For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which ye have shewed toward His name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister". If you are faithfully serving the Lord, Jesus Christ in ANY capacity, please know that I PRAISE GOD FOR YOU. Your faithful service matters to me, it matters to the people you reach, and it matters to God. Sometimes it seems to become a "thankless" job. There are times when you might spend countless hours preparing for VBS, a Sunday School lesson, etc. that goes completely unnoticed by others. But you know what.....God sees you. He knows all you've done, and He knows how your actions will impact others. Nothing you do for the LORD goes unnoticed. When we're doing things for the Lord, we honestly should be caught up in worrying about who notices or who gives us credit for it. That's not really what matters. Even if your ministry and service is praying, your service (whatever it is) from full-time service to occasional service is important. You're doing something that only you can do. If it ever appears to go unappreciated, please know that God appreciates it. I appreciate it and most importantly, those you impact will appreciate it. Remember to thank those who serve and those who bless you. Remember also that YOUR service is appreciated as well. Each person has special gifts that only they can use to give pieces of our Savior to others. Don't ever underestimate the impact of your service to the Lord. You're an important piece of God's awesome plan.

Anything Goes - Weeks 736-737

Hello, creative friends, and welcome back for another FUN challenge here at Word Art Wednesday. We are SO grateful for you and we appreciate you for joining us. It's always so much fun to see all your sweet cards and projects linked up in our gallery. We hope that by now your new year is off to a great start. PRAISE GOD that we were, once again, able to fill our Sponsor Calendar for 2026. I've always said that I'll continue this little challenge blog for as long as God chooses to bless us and to provide the Sponsors we need. If and when the time comes that I don't feel Him leading me to continue, we will make some changes. But for now, GOD IS BLESSING us "exceedingly abundantly" above all our most crazy expectations. The scripture used to create this lovely piece of word art is Psalm 56:9 which reads, "When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me". Each one of the Psalms is a true blessing; and collectively, this Book of the Bible is a treasure trove of wisdom to bless our lives. God purposely gave to us, through the men who penned the Holy Bible, the exact words He wanted us to have until He returns for us. Each word, sentence, chapter, book, etc. is purposeful and intentional. In this particular verse, David is assuring us (and even himself at the time) of God's continuous and unfailing support in every circumstance. God revealed Himself to David and reminded him of His continuous presence and support, especially in times of distress. Often times, we forget to truly connect with God and to talk with Him, praise Him and thank Him the way we should (continually...every day) when things are going well in our lives. Too many times, we wait until we're in those moments of distress and turmoil before we truly draw close(r) to Him. By remembering EVERY DAY 24/365 to really connect with God, to seek to know Him (read and study His word), to strive to live for Him and to give Him the praise He deserves always, we begin to realize just how much "God really is for us". In good times or in bad times, God is always near. He's longing to hear from us, and He wants for us to know Him and to lean on Him (especially in times of trouble). Please, dear friends, don't miss out on the sweet fellowship and the blessings of the Lord that come every moment of every day by living for Him and by seeking after the Lord, Jesus Christ. He alone is God and He alone is the (only) way to Heaven where we can rest eternally assured that we will never be separated from Him. Today is the perfect time to "cry unto God" because "He will cause your enemies to turn back" and we can KNOW these promises because "God is for us". Praise God!
