Anything Goes - Weeks #631-632

Welcome back to our challenge, everyone.  We're always so glad to have you stop by and play along with us.  We've got one of long-time and favorite sponsors with us for this challenge, another lucky winner, a Top 3, great inspiration, and a devotional to encourage you.  I'm also looking for a few more Guest Designers in 2024; so if you're interested in being a Guest Designer here at Word Art Wednesday, please put GDT after your Entry Name.  Thanks again for joining us here.  You are such a blessing.  And now, we can get started with another AWESOME challenge.

Our word art scripture is John 16:33 and is says. "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace.  In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world".  These precious, true, and mighty words were spoken by God, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  He is reminding us that when we live/remain in Him, will have peace.  He's also saying, as we all know and talk about often, that this world is a very difficult place, and that we will have trials/tribulations/rough times.  BUT....it also reminds us that He (God, Jesus, Creator and Everything we need) has already overcome the world.  He was able to overcome/defeat the world when He took on the sins of the world, died on the cross, and rose again.  Upon that cross, God took on/faced every ugly thing, every sin, and even the vilest sins one can imagine.  He looked it all right in the face and died in our place to pay/satisfy the debt we each owe for our sinfulness.  He died that ALL might be saved (yes, ALL - even those we may not feel "deserve" it.  Truth be told, not a single one of us deserves what He did for us on the cross).  FACT: We will all see God one day face to face.  I know that my name is written in the Book of Life.  Praise God!  Has your name been written in the Book?  If not, today would be the perfect time to tell God you realize that life is difficult and that you don't want to face it all alone anymore.  By recognizing Who He is (God - the One true God) and that He became flesh (Jesus) and paid the price for our sins on the cross, died, was burried, rose again from the dead, was seen by hundreds of witnesses, and went to prepare a place for us in Heaven; we are then able to know for sure that our name is in the Book of Life.  Take the time today to talk with God and say these simple things to Him if you've never done it before.  He loves to hear from us.  Make your relationship with Him personal and real and find that peace God speaks of in this verse.  We don't know when our last day on Earth will be.  It's good to know these things for ourselves, and to share these simple truths with others as the Lord leads.  Have a blessed week, everyone.

As always, you are welcome to save the word art to your computer; but you are never required to use it in order to play along or to win in our challenges.  We welcome you to share all of your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family friendly.  This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards).  You may link up to five (5) projects each week for a total of ten (10) entries per two-week challenge.  The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning.  It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and an encouragement to you as we share it.  If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules found under our Page tab marked "Challenge Rules".  Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to our guidelines.   Please know that this doesn't mean we are judging anyone.  We're not.  We are simply attempting to honor God and follow His rules.  Please let us know if you have any questions about anything; and thank you for your understanding and participation.
