Anything Goes - Weeks #768-769

Welcome back to Word Art Wednesday, everyone. We're so very glad you're here to play along with us again. We have another AWESOME challenge ready for you today with a brief devotional to encourage and bless you, some lovely inspiration, a Top 3, another lucky winner, and a groovy new sponsor. Let's jump right in and get to all the FUN, shall we?

The Bible verse used to create this lovely piece of word art is Isaiah 26:3 which says, "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusted in thee". We've heard this message many times before in different ways. We're being reminded once again that when we keep our hearts, our minds, our thoughts and our ways fixed on God (Jesus) and what He wants for us, we will live "in perfect peace". Far too many people (even Christians) doubt this powerful truth, and thus, don't get the joy of experiencing it. The things we don't have or don't experience in our lives, or in our walk with God, are only because of OUR LACK OF FAITH and lack of TRUST. God can do ANYTHING, and He can do ALL THINGS. However, we must first BELIEVE it and TRUST in it. Learning to keep our "mind stayed on Him" requires us to have a very personal relationship with God. TALK with Him every day, all day. Just talk to Him as the friend He wants to be to you, me, us. God wants you to draw SO close to Him, and He wants to give you that "perfect peace". If your life is stressful and a bit chaotic, stop and give it all to God. He tells us to "cast all our anxiety on Him" because He truly cares about us. If you're looking for perfect peace, God WILL GIVE IT. But first, we have to ASK and then we have to TRUST/believe it will happen. Today is a great day to talk with God, give your worries to Him, and to start enjoying the perfect peace He wishes for you. It's yours for the taking, my friends. Claim God's promises and make the most of what He's offering you in this life. Stay fixed on God and His plans for you. He will always give you the strength, wisdom and peace you seek. Always.

Anything Goes - Weeks #677-678

Welcome back to Word Art Wednesday! We're so blessed that you're here to play along in our challenges and we want you to know that we really do appreciate you and care about you. As the "owner" of this blog, I want you to know that I pray for you. I really do. We all enjoy seeing your amazing art and visiting you on your blogs and social media. Even if I/we don't get to you all the time, we really are super grateful for you and all the wonderful art you link up with us here. God loves you and wants to bless your life. It's my most sincere desire to point you to Him so that you will know the fullness of His love and grace.

The scripture used to create this beautiful piece of word art is given to us through the holy Word of God, and is found in Matthew 5:14. It says, "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid". In this verse, Jesus is telling (us) His followers that we are "the light of the world" and that it's our privilege and responsibility to shine His light (by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ) in this dark world. Many people don't even realize the darkness in which they live. It's up to each and every one of us, as followers of Jesus Christ, to illuminate this dark world with the truth and hope that only God (Jesus) offers. Each of us needs to be a visible light to this dark world by sharing our faith through example in how we live, by demonstrating good moral character with clarity, and by bringing the hope and love of Jesus Christ to this lost world. Have you ever heard that saying "you may be the best example of a Christian that someone ever sees"? Well, it's so true. YOU may be the only Christian example that someone ever witnesses. What are the words and actions of your life telling them? We each need to seek after God daily so that He will guide us to be the LIGHT He has called us to be for Him. Next time you find yourself with a decision that could impact others (your attitude, your words, actions, etc.); remember that He has called us to be that light pointing others to Him. Our actions matter. We can either show this dark world the LIGHT of Jesus, or we can live in the darkness with them. As true Christians, we should have a desire to shine our light for Him and to point others to Him each day...even through the smallest details of our lives. Are you shining your light for God?

Anything Goes - Weeks #667-668

Welcome back to Word Art Wednesday, everyone. Sorry for the late start today. We're so glad you're here to play along with us, and more than anything else; we hope and pray that our challenges will bless and encourage you. This is a place to share your art and creativity, and it's also a place for you to gain knowledge and to draw close to God. The great God of this world (and yes, there is ONLY ONE) has so many great things waiting for those who seek Him. It's our most sincere desire that you will be blessed and encouraged in your walk with God by visiting here. And of course, it's a place for having fun and sharing the artistic talents that God has given you. We always enjoy seeing your art; and we appreciate you for sharing it here.

We have another beautiful piece of scriptural word art for this challenge. This time, the verse is taken from 2 Chronicles 15:7 and it says, "Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak; for your work shall be rewarded". These words are part of a speech that was given by Azariah to the people of Judah. It was spoken as an encouragement; and although it was intended for a specific situation at a very specific time, it's most certainly an important verse that we can apply to our lives today. Just like the people of this time were experiencing, we have enemies all around us. We see attacks in our every-day lives. People are attacking others who look and think differently than they do, people are attacking a United States Presidential candidate, people are attacking anyone and anything that they oppose. This is SO WRONG, and it needs to STOP. It's NOT our place to attack, or even to criticize, any person. This verse, and all of God's beautiful Word, tells us that we aren't to let our hands be weak; and that our work will be rewarded. So, how do we "make our hands strong"? First, we (you, me and every human being) need to CONFESS our sin. Next, we need to TURN from our ugly sinful ways. And we need to LOOK TO GOD for wisdom and understanding so that we will become wise and grow spiritually. This is what makes us strong - as individuals, as the body of Christ, as a nation, and just in general. In and of ourselves, we are weak. ONLY through submission to God do we become truly strong by surrendering to His perfect teaching. God promises to make us strong and to reward us. Regardless of where you stand politically or spiritually, let me simply encourage you with this......SUBMIT TO GOD. Turn to God and ask Him to teach you, to make you truly wise, to forgive your sins, and to help you live a life that is pleasing to Him. God promises to make us wise and to bless us. Most of us want to be wise and blessed, right? Once we are in submission to God, He will make things clear for us. PLEASE don't get your information and decision-making criteria from the media. I urge you to get it straight from God. This is the ONLY way that you (we) will ever become wise, strong and blessed. God has great things waiting for those who do seek Him.
