Anything Goes - Weeks #738-739

It's always a treat to have you stop by to join us here at Word Art Wednesday, and we have yet another super FUN challenge waiting for you today. There's lots of inspiration, a fabulous long-time sponsor, a brief devotional to encourage and bless your week (and beyond), and lots of other encouraging elements to share with you all. The Bible verse in focus when creating this lovely word art is Ephesians 5:2(a) which reads, "And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given Himself for us..." which is just the first half (a) of this verse. So, what does it mean to "walk in love"? I would first look to our (perfect) example. We know that "God is love" (1 John 4:7, etc.), so if we are told to "walk in love", we would need to walk in the way Jesus (God) walked this earth. Walking in love (as Christ did) would involve us becoming very humble. Jesus walked in love.....all the way to the Cross of Calvary where He died for our sins. Surely, I can find a way to "walk in love" in a way that honors Him and points others to Him while I'm here on earth. This is an "agape" (perfect and selfless) love that God has given as our example. While we will never achieve God's level of perfection as we walk in love, we do honor Him by living in a manner of lifestyle that pleases God, draws us close to Him, and points other to Him as well. This world is NOT our eternal home, friends. We WILL, each and every one of us, spend ETERNITY in either Heaven with God or in Hell separated from God.....FOREVER. Let's each make the right choice today and every day to "walk in love, to walk with God" and to be someone who lives their life to shine for Him.

Anything Goes - Weeks 736-737

Hello, creative friends, and welcome back for another FUN challenge here at Word Art Wednesday. We are SO grateful for you and we appreciate you for joining us. It's always so much fun to see all your sweet cards and projects linked up in our gallery. We hope that by now your new year is off to a great start. PRAISE GOD that we were, once again, able to fill our Sponsor Calendar for 2026. I've always said that I'll continue this little challenge blog for as long as God chooses to bless us and to provide the Sponsors we need. The scripture used to create this lovely piece of word art is Psalm 56:9 which reads, "When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me". Each one of the Psalms is a true blessing; and collectively, this Book of the Bible is a treasure trove of wisdom to bless our lives. God purposely gave to us, through the men who penned the Holy Bible, the exact words He wanted us to have until He returns for us. Each word, sentence, chapter, book, etc. is purposeful and intentional. In this particular verse, David is assuring us (and even himself at the time) of God's continuous and unfailing support in every circumstance. God revealed Himself to David and reminded him of His continuous presence and support, especially in times of distress. Often times, we forget to truly connect with God and to talk with Him, praise Him and thank Him the way we should (continually...every day) when things are going well in our lives. Too many times, we wait until we're in those moments of distress and turmoil before we truly draw close(r) to Him. By remembering EVERY DAY 24/365 to really connect with God, to seek to know Him (read and study His word), to strive to live for Him and to give Him the praise He deserves always, we begin to realize just how much "God really is for us". In good times or in bad times, God is always near. He's longing to hear from us, and He wants for us to know Him and to lean on Him (especially in times of trouble). Please, dear friends, don't miss out on the sweet fellowship and the blessings of the Lord that come every moment of every day by living for Him and by seeking after the Lord, Jesus Christ. He alone is God and He alone is the (only) way to Heaven where we can rest eternally assured that we will never be separated from Him. Today is the perfect time to "cry unto God" because "He will cause your enemies to turn back" and we can KNOW these promises because "God is for us". Praise God!

Anything Goes - Weeks #724-725

WELCOME! We're so glad you're here with us again. I do apologize for the super late start this time. I'm just going to be honest with you all in saying that I'm a bit stressed. To make a long story short, my parents are aging (87 and 92) and they're struggling a bit. I just got back from visiting them (NV to MN) and my hubby is there now. Someone will have to be there with them from now on, I'm guessing. Anyway, things have been stressful, and your prayers are always greatly appreciated. Nonetheless, I do apologize for another late start. It seems to be happening a lot, and sadly, may continue. God is SO GOOD and I trust that He will give me the strength and ability to get it all accomplished with grace. Praise God! Now......let the FUN begin.

What a darling font used to give us our word art which comes from 1 Thessalonians 5:16-17 says, "Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing". These words have become such a blessing and encouragement to me over the years as I've discovered what it feels like to "pray without ceasing". It's a concept I've undertaken in my daily life that's blessed me tremendously. Now, please know first that I'm not proclaiming to be some kind of super-Christian by any means. All it means is that I've learned to place myself in an ongoing conversation with God where I'm praying all day and all night. I simply keep talking to Him. And unlike my husband, He won't fall asleep on me....He'll listen all night. And not only does God LISTEN to our prayers, but He also HEARS and ANSWERS them. It's easy to moan, whine and complain. It's so much better and so much more effective, however, to PRAY instead. Praying to God is a gift and a privilege, and we can best utilize this tremendous gift by staying in a spirit of prayer all the time. So, you're not literally praying (knees bent, hands folded, head bowed, etc.) without stopping; but you're remaining in a spirit of prayer and communication with God throughout the day 24/7. I hope that makes sense to anyone who isn't familiar with this verse. It's such a BLESSING to talk with God. It will really bless you, too. God loves to hear from us. Praying without ceasing.

Anything Goes - Weeks #694-695

Hello, creative friends! We're so glad you've chosen to join us for another awesome challenge. It's always more fun when you're able to play along, and we appreciate you and the art you share with us. There's lots of FUN waiting for you again in this challenge including a brief devotional of absolute truth to encourage you, some great inspiration, an amazing sponsor and lots of happiness here to surround you. We truly appreciate you and we're so glad you're here. Let's get started with this new challenge.

The beautiful word art for this challenge was created using the verse John 1:29 and it says, "The next day John seeth Jesus coming until him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world". As we know, John was one of the 12 Disciples. When he saw Jesus, he spoke these words to remind us that Jesus came to sacrifice Himself to pay the sin debt that EVERY human owes. Every person ever born has a sinful nature. There are absolutely NO exceptions to this fact. Yes, even the Pope, even Pastors/Priests, even Joseph Smith, even Muhammad, etc. It means EVERY person ever born enters the world with a sinful nature and has a sin debt that must be satisfied in order to enter Heaven and not be separated from Him for eternity. It doesn't matter what religion you are, and it doesn't actually even matter if you choose to believe it or not. It's a simple fact of what's known as absolute truth. We're sinful. God knew this because He created us and He knows everything about us (all humans). Jesus, God in human flesh, was the ONLY One who, being perfect, could satisfy the debt that needed to be paid to make a way for mankind to get to Him. It's not some great mystery. It's very simple. God became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:1-2). He gave Himself willingly on the Cross of Calvary so that we could spend eternity with Him. All we have to do is to simply ACCEPT THIS GIFT, confess Him as God, and call on Him to save us from our sinful condition. Do you truly know the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world? He wants to know you personally. Call on Him today while you are able. Our eternal destiny is at stake, and eternity is a VERY long time to be wrong. Just be very sure of what WILL happen when you leave this world. God loves you SO much and wants you to accept His precious gift. Don't rely on your religion, on your good works, or on any other way to get to Heaven. Jesus is the ONLY WAY.
