Anything Goes - Weeks #744-745

Welcome back to our FUN challenges here at Word Art Wednesday. It's always a blessing to have you all stop by to share your amazing cards and projects with us. There's no possible way for me to express to you all just how much it means to me when you all share your art and talents with us. We're all SO inspired by your art, and we appreciate each and every entry. Don't forget also that the more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning in the random draw. Per the rules (below) you can enter five times per week for a TOTAL of ten entries each challenge. Just remember not to exceed that number of entries or your prize will be forfeited even if your number is drawn. We consider you ALL to be WINNERS and we hope you enjoy playing along as much as we enjoy seeing your amazing art.

Our scripture of focus used to create this beautiful piece of word art is Colossians 1:14 which says, "In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins". As we break down this verse, we learn first that we have REDEMPTION. This signifies that we, as sinners, are being saved from our sins and the penalty that it brings; allowing us to be reconciled with God and have a relationship with Him. Next, we're reminded of the FORGIVENESS we receive through the blood of Christ that He shed when He willingly gave His life for us on the Cross of Calvary. This allows us to start anew, being completely forgiven of all our past mistakes. Finally, this verse reassures believers of our spiritual freedom and the hope of eternal life through our faith in Jesus Christ. If you've never yet experienced the redemption and forgiveness God offers, today is the perfect day to ASK God into your life. As you submit yourself to Him, draw close to Him and learn of Him, all these things and SO many more wonderful truths and blessings from God's Word will give you the peace and hope you've been longing to find. No matter what your troubles are, Jesus is the answer. Knowing that He is with you always in this life, and that your eternity will be in His presence forever, are blessings like no other.

Anything Goes - Weeks #689-690

Hello, sweet and talented blog friends. We're so grateful to have you join us for another FUN challenge and we're so glad you're here. Seeing your sweet cards each week is so much fun and it's also super inspiring. You're all so talented, and we love seeing the awesome cards you make and share in our challenges. We have so many fun things waiting for you once again, and we truly mean it when we say that our challenge blog wouldn't be what it is without each and every one of you. Thanks for being here.

Our word art comes to us from Psalm 27:13 and it says, "I have fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord, in the land of the living". What this verse tells us is that the writer, David, is singing and praising the goodness of God and his faith in seeing that goodness manifest in his life. You see, when we truly surrender every aspect of our lives to God, we begin to experience the goodness of God in its fullness, and we see the impact of His blessings on our daily lives. Living for God and surrendering to Him fills us with eternal hope, a never-ending love and the promise is His eternal blessings. David, like so many of us, had his faults/sins and he experienced some very difficult times in his life. Just like each of us, when we surrender completely to God, we begin to experience joy, contentment and blessings like we've never known. Without God, there is much trouble. With God, we will still have our struggles; but we'll have His presence in our lives to give us the strength and ability to carry on with confidence and abundant joy. If I can suggest one thing to you, it would be to simply give your life to God, ask Him to sustain you, and allow yourself to experience ALL God has for you.

Anything Goes - Weeks #645-646

Here we are at the end of April already. Yikes! Time flies by so quickly. We're beyond delighted to have you join us for another FUN challenge. We have another lucky winner, a wonderful sponsor, some great inspirational art, a brief devotional to encourage you, and a fun challenge waiting for you. It's always so much fun seeing the fabulous cards and projects you create to share with us. We are grateful for each of you, and we wouldn't have a challenge blog without you. Thanks, everyone. The beautiful scripture word art for this challenge is an encouraging passage found in the Book of Jeremiah, Chapter 17 and verse 10. It reads, "I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man, according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings". This verse reminds us that God looks directly into our heart. NOTHING is hidden from God, and we can't fool/trick God by trying to convince Him that we didn't do wrong or that we didn't commit a sin. Not only does God know all our sins; but as this verse references, God also knows the intentions of our heart. Praise God that He has paid the price for our sins (through the shedding of His innocent blood and conquering death) and that we can (should) confess our sins to Him and ask for forgiveness. The Bible assures us that God is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and that He will cleanse us from all unrighteousness. But this verse reminds us that it doesn't end there. While it's important to confess and be forgiven (praise God), the LORD looks upon our insides (He says in this verse, "I try the reins") to the depths of our heart where He reads the intentions of our heart and where He learns how we're REALLY dealing with our sins. We will all sin. That's just a fact. What matters is that we first confess our sins (He knows it ALL anyway), that we ask for forgiveness, and finally; that we change our ways and do our best to not commit the same sins ever again. God wants to know that we are, in the deepest parts of our being, trying to become what He wants from, and for, each of us. Living according to God's ways will BLESS us and is what will allow us to "bear good fruit". God loves you. God wants to forgive you and help you live a good, blessed and holy life, and to allow you to bear good fruit. Talk with Him. Know that when God looks on YOUR heart that He will be pleased with what He sees. We're each a work in progress, but let's show God and the whole world that we are living for Him, doing what brings glory and honor to His holy name, and bearing good fruit that represents His blessings upon our lives.

Anything Goes - Weeks #591-592

Welcome back to Word Art Wednesday and thanks so much for joining us for another FAB challenge. We have a brief devotional to encourage you, some lovely inspiration, a beautiful piece of word art, an awesome sponsor and lots of fun waiting for you. We're super excited and grateful to have you join us for this challenge, so thanks for stopping by. Let's get started.

Our beautiful word art was created using the Bible verse Romans 15:13 and it reads, "Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost". Are you familiar with the name "holy ghost"? It is, quite simply, just another name for God. When Jesus prepared to leave this earth, He told us that He would leave a part of Himself in the person of the Holy Ghost. This part of Him is the physical indwelling of His comfort. It is literally God dwelling within His believers as a source of comfort, hope and strength. We often forget about this third person of God, and in fact, we often times minimize WHO the Holy Spirit is. It is still 100% God. As God's children, we are so blessed to have this precious gift, a part of God, who dwells inside of us and offers us His amazing grace, comfort and hope. Even though God dwells in Heaven and Jesus sits at the right hand of God the Father, He knew that we needed His constant presence (indwelling) in our daily lives. This is why He gave us this gift - a part of Himself. This verse assures us that He will fill us with "all joy and peace" as we believe in Him; and that we will "abound in hope" through His indwelling spirit. I honestly cannot even imagine my life (not even for one minute) without the peace, hope and joy that I have because of the fact that He dwells constantly within me. Life is difficult and we definitely will have struggles in our lives. But what joy, hope and peace we have knowing that we will never face life and its struggles by ourselves. If you don't yet know God - all three persons of God - today is a great day to call on Him for the hope, joy and peace in believing He offers us.
