Anything Goes - Weeks #710-711

Welcome back, everyone. Are you all ready for another amazing challenge with us here at Word Art Wednesday? It's always most fun when YOU are able to join us. The more, the merrier. We really enjoy seeing your amazing cards linked up here, and we appreciate each and every card you share with us. Best of luck in the random draw. We hope that you'll enjoy the brief devotional, the inspirational cards that are being shared, and the super FUN challenge we have ready for you now. Thanks for being here to take part in the FUN.

The scripture in focus for this challenge is Lamentations 3:24 which reads, "The LORD is my portion, saith my soul: therefore, will I hope in Him". This is a beautiful Bible verse that reassures us of the profound sense of hope and reliance on God's faithfulness and mercy that we are able to experience new every morning. Each and every day as we wake up, we can be assured that the LORD (Jehovah God in the Old Testament and Jesus Christ in the New Testament - same person, same ONE God) is always present to uphold us. When we ask God to enter into our lives, we enter an eternal covenant (promise) with Him that allows us to experience His love, peace and mercies that are new every morning. When you wake up in the morning, just say THANK YOU, LORD. Thank you for being present for me every single day, for equipping me for all that I will encounter this day, and for making a way for me to spend forever in Your presence. What amazing blessings we have through His promises. Praise God!

As always, you are welcome to save the word art to your computer; but you are never required to use it in order to play along or to win in our challenges. We welcome you to share all of your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family friendly. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards). Anything Goes - Weeks #696-697

It's time for our next challenge, and we couldn't be happier to have you join in on all the FUN. Our last challenge had a fabulous response, and we now have another lucky winner. Our scripture of focus in our beautiful word art for this challenge is 146:5 and it says, "Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God". This psalm is very straight-forward and reminds us that when we follow "the God of Jacob" which is Jesus Christ; the ONE and only true God, we WILL be happy. So many times, people wonder why life gets so difficult. Most of the time, it's because either we don't know God at all, or because we have moved away from Him. By placing our lives in the hands of "the God of Jacob" (Jesus Christ, God in human flesh and the ONLY true God that has the power to change our circumstances), we are assured that God will bring us happiness. It doesn't mean that we'll never struggle again, but it does promise us that we will find true happiness. God loves you and cares about you. However, it's up to each and every one of us to CHOOSE God and to ASK Him into our lives. Is your hope in the Lord? Are you truly happy? Talk to God today and tell Him that you want to know Him and to experience the happiness that only He can provide.

Anything Goes - Weeks #675-676

Here we are nearing the end of November with Christmas just around the corner. This year seems to have flown by us quickly. We're so grateful for each of you and all the amazing cards you've shared with us again this year. We enjoy seeing your art and we appreciate you more than you'll ever know. I thank God for each and every one of you, and I pray for you. I ask God to bless you, to guide you, to draw close to you and to be your Lord and Savior. That's the real focus here at Word Art Wednesday - sharing Jesus and growing our relationships with Him as we share the cards/art He allows us to create.

The lovely word art scripture for this challenge is 1 Corinthians 15:57 and it says, "But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ". This verse is reminding us that we need to always remember to be thankful to God. Life can be difficult sometimes and the world/the enemy will attempt to throw hurdles in front of us causing us to stumble. Here we're reminded that God has given us the victory over this world through His perfect gift - Jesus Christ. Being a Christian doesn't mean that we'll avoid all of life's difficulties; but it does give us the ultimate victory, the hope and the promise of eternal security and a forever place with Him in Heaven. As Thanksgiving approaches, we're all reminded that we need to be thankful. However, let's each try our very best to THANK God every day for all that He's done for us. Life will definitely have its ups and downs; but PRAISE GOD and THANK GOD for the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
