Anything Goes - #681-682

Welcome to our first challenge of 2025 and thanks so much for joining us.  We're excited about all the awesome Sponsors we have with us for the new year, and you can read about all of them on the Sponsor Page.  Some are returning sponsors, and some are brand new this year.  They're all AWESOME.  If you're interested in being a Guest Designer this year, please email Karen to inquire.  Let's get started with this new challenge.  We have NINE (9) Lucky Winners to announce, a fabulous new sponsor, a brief devotional, a beautiful piece of scriptural word art, and lots of fun planned for everyone.

The scripture in focus that was used to create this beautiful word art is Acts 2:28 which reads, "Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance".  Have you ever heard that comment that "life doesn't come with an instruction manual"?  Well, actually it does.  The Bible tells us the most important things we need to know in order to be happy and successful in this life.  This is why we read "thou hast made know to me the ways of life".  It's so that we'll realize we have the necessary tools needed for us to be prepared for life's trials.  God's Word also equips us so that we'll know what to do when life throws hurdles in our way.  The latter part of this verse tells us that "thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance".  Our countenance (and God's countenance) actually refers to the face/smile.  When we study our Bible and learn how to handle life's troubles, God will smile on us and bring us great joy.  When we don't study God's Word, or when we try to do things our own way, life gets even more difficult.  That's just a fact.  God literally smiles on us and brings joy into our lives when He sees us living the way He's instructed us to live.  He's given us all we need to know about how to deal with people, how to deal with trials and stress, and how to please Him.  Yes, we will all make mistakes.  Those mistakes are made primarily when we try to solve things according to our own knowledge.  But when we study and are prepared, it gives us the strength and wisdom of how God wants us to deal with things, with people and with situations.  If you're not someone who regularly reads and studies the Bible, I would suggest letting this be the year you begin to do so.  God's Word is full of information, stories and examples of how to live a life that will please God.  As He begins to smile on us, we become filled with joy.  Life is easier and better when we do things His way.  We really do hope that you will draw closer to God than ever before this year.  Watch as God smiles on you and brings great joy to your life.  Happy New Year!

As always, you are welcome to save the word art to your computer; but you are never required to use it in order to play along or to win in our challenges.  We welcome you to share all of your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family friendly.  This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards).  You may link up to five (5) projects each week for a total of ten (10) entries per two-week challenge.  Any entries over that limit will be deleted and will make you ineligible to win.  The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning.  It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and an encouragement to you as we share it.  If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules found under our Page tab marked "Challenge Rules".  Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to our guidelines.   Please know that this doesn't mean we are judging anyone.  We're not.  We are simply attempting to honor God and follow His rules.  Please let us know if you have any questions about anything; and thank you for your understanding and participation.

5th Annual Blog Hop & Anything Goes - Weeks #679-680

WELCOME!  You're here just in time for our 5th Annual Christmas Blog Hop and we're so grateful that you're joining us.  God has blessed us once again with SO many great prizes (prizes offered from each stop in the Blog Hop where you comment), lots of wonderful Christmas inspiration, our regular scheduled sponsor (offering TWO $25 prizes to their awesome store), a brief devotional to encourage you, and lots of fun.  So, let's get started with this year's Christmas Blog Hop and our final card challenge of 2024.  We're so glad you're here to join in on all the FUN, and we're super excited about all that God has planned for us in 2025.  Praise the LORD!  Thanks for being part of it all.

The scripture used for this new challenge's word art is one that's known to almost every person around the world.  It's John 3:16 and it says, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life".  This Bible verse is telling us, quite clearly and simply, that God (a holy God, the Creator and Author of everything) loved us SO MUCH that He became flesh in the form of a son, Jesus Christ.  It tells us that if we place our eternal faith in the fact that He IS God, that He came and died for our sins (satisfying the sin debt) and that He rose again to prepare a place for us; that He will allow us to never truly "die".  Instead, we (our spirit) will spend eternity with Him in a literal place called Heaven.  Becoming a Christian and telling God you want to live for Him isn't just a "Christmas thing".  It's for always.  It's a very simple, very personal act that each person must do in order to secure their bond with God and ask Him to enter your life - becoming your Lord and your Savior.  From there, it's complete.  God did it ALL.  We only need to tell Him that we place our faith in Him (who He is and what He did for us on the cross/grave) and that we want to live for Him the rest of our earthly lives; and forever in Heaven.  He will never leave us or forsake us once we have this eternal bond with Him.  God wants to have that special bond with YOU.  I'm so glad He found me and saved my sinful soul.

Anything Goes - Weeks #677-678

Welcome back to Word Art Wednesday!  We're so blessed that you're here to play along in our challenges and we want you to know that we really do appreciate you and care about you.  As the "owner" of this blog, I want you to know that I pray for you.  I really do.  We all enjoy seeing your amazing art and visiting you on your blogs and social media.  Even if I/we don't get to you all the time, we really are super grateful for you and all the wonderful art you link up with us here.  God loves you and wants to bless your life.  It's my most sincere desire to point you to Him so that you will know the fullness of His love and grace.

OH....by the way, our next challenge includes the 5th Annual Christmas Blog Hop here at Word Art Wednesday.  We have lots of great prizes up for grabs, and we hope that you will be sure to join us.

The scripture used to create this beautiful piece of word art is given to us through the holy Word of God, and is found in Matthew 5:14.  It says, "Ye are the light of the world.  A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid".  In this verse, Jesus is telling (us) His followers that we are "the light of the world" and that it's our privilege and responsibility to shine His light (by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ) in this dark world.  Many people don't even realize the darkness in which they live.  It's up to each and every one of us, as followers of Jesus Christ, to illuminate this dark world with the truth and hope that only God (Jesus) offers.  Each of us needs to be a visible light to this dark world by sharing our faith through example in how we live, by demonstrating good moral character with clarity, and by bringing the hope and love of Jesus Christ to this lost world.  Have you ever heard that saying "you may be the best example of a Christian that someone ever sees"?  Well, it's so true.  YOU may be the only Christian example that someone ever witnesses.  What are the words and actions of your life telling them?  We each need to seek after God daily so that He will guide us to be the LIGHT He has called us to be for Him.  Next time you find yourself with a decision that could impact others (your attitude, your words, actions, etc.); remember that He has called us to be that light pointing others to Him.  Our actions matter.  We can either show this dark world the LIGHT of Jesus, or we can live in the darkness with them.  As true Christians, we should have a desire to shine our light for Him and to point others to Him each day...even through the smallest details of our lives.  Are you shining your light for God?

As always, you are welcome to save the word art to your computer; but you are never required to use it in order to play along or to win in our challenges.  We welcome you to share all of your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family friendly.  This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards).  You may link up to five (5) projects each week for a total of ten (10) entries per two-week challenge.
