Anything Goes - Weeks #617-618

Welcome back to Word Art Wednesday, everyone.  We're so glad you're here to play along in our FUN challenge.  We have a beautiful scripture digi that you're welcome to save, a brief devotional based on this scripture, some awesome inspiration to get you started, a lucky Winner, a Top 3, and another wonderful prize up for grabs in the new challenge.  Lots of fun for everyone is what we have planned; and we're SO glad you're here to join us.

The word art for this challenge is from a wonderful scripture - Psalm 32:8 which says, "I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye".  Have you ever heard that saying, "I wish life came with a manual?  or I wish parenthood (etc.) came with a manual?  Well, in actuality, there is a manual for life and all it brings.  God's Word tells us that there's no temptation we will face that hasn't been faced by others.  God's Word also promises us that He will always provide a way for us to escape the choice to sin and that He'll give us "an escape" from sin.  God's Word is filled with wise words of rich instruction through His perfect love.  By studying the Bible, we are able to receive God's perfect instruction for every situation life can throw out way.  God desires to bless us as we seek His instruction.  This verse also says that He will "guide us with His eye"; meaning that He will never take His all-seeing eyes off of us.  By simply studying His instruction manual (the Holy Bible), He will fully equip us with the knowledge we need to avoid sin and live a blessed life.  Give God praise for every single word He's given us.

As always, you are welcome to save the word art to your computer; but you are never required to use it in order to play along or to win in our challenges.  We welcome you to share all of your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family friendly.  This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards).  You may link up to five (5) projects each week for a total of ten (10) entries per two-week challenge.  The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning.  It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and an encouragement to you as we share it.  If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules found under our Page tab marked "Challenge Rules".  Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to our guidelines.   Please know that this doesn't mean we are judging anyone.  We're not.  We are simply attempting to honor God and follow His rules.  Please let us know if you have any questions about anything; and thank you for your understanding and participation.

Anything Goes - Challenge Weeks #615-616

Welcome back to Word Art Wednesday, everyone.  We're SO glad you're here to play along with us and we sincerely hope that our challenges, devotionals, comments, prizes and encouragement will be a blessing to ALL who stop by our blog.  We have lots of FUN waiting for you, so let's get started.

Our devotional today is centered around the Bible verse Hebrews 6:19 which says, "Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and that which entereth into that within the veil".  Think for a moment of a ship out on the sea.  If it has no anchor to tie it down and hold it securely in place, it will wander aimlessly just floating around with no purpose.  Our lives are much the same, and the word "anchor" is used to remind us of how incredibly secure we are when we are "tied to" or attached to our eternal anchor, Jesus Christ.  By securing ourselves to Him, we are assured that our souls (our lives) will be blessed by Him as He pours out His sure and steadfast love upon us.  So if you're ever feeling like your life is wandering, lost, or without distinct purpose, you can anchor yourself in Jesus Christ and you'll never wander aimlessly again.  That's an eternal promise.

Anything Goes - Weeks #539-#540

Welcome to Word Art Wednesday, everyone.  It's time for another AWESOME two-week Anything Goes/Family Friendly challenge and we're SO glad you're here to play along with us.  We have another AMAZING sponsor, the wonderful Heartfelt Creations.  We also have a brief Easter devotional, some great inspiration and lots of fun waiting for you.  Thanks for stopping by to join us.  We're SO glad you're here.

The word art was created using the Bible verse 2 Corinthians 5:15 which says, "And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto Him which died for them, and rose again".  As we, Christians all around the world, prepare to celebrate Easter; it's important that we realize we serve a very REAL and very LIVING God.  NO OTHER "god" and NO OTHER "religion" can say that their "god" died for mankind's sins.  Nor can they say that their "god" rose again from the dead PROVING they are God - as Jesus did.  Our God, Jesus Christ, was SEEN alive by HUNDREDS of eyewitnesses AFTER His crucifixion, confirmed death and burial.  Because He did all of this to make a way for us to spend eternity with Him in Heaven, it's also important (as we're reminded in this verse) that we live our lives FOR HIM.  That doesn't mean we can't have fun, or that we need to attend church every day and walk around like monks.  However, it does mean that we should be different from the world.  Our purpose, once we are a child of God, is to glorify Him and to point people to Him.  We can't do this by living FOR the world or LIKE the world.  We can only do this by living FOR God.  We honor Him by living our lives according to His holy Word (the Bible) to the very best of our ability, by continuing to learn about Him and striving to be more like Him.  You see, when we live the way the world tells us to...we simply blend in.  God wants us to continue to change always (and be willing to change/grow always) so that we're constantly striving to learn more about His Word and His ways so that others will SEE Christ in us and will WANT what we have.  Our greatest joy on this earth is walking and living in His truth and His love, and claiming His wonderful promises.  Our greatest of joy of all is not on this earth.  It waits for those who have placed their faith in what He did for us when He "became flesh (Jesus) and dwelt among us", dying for our sins, and rising again.  Let's each ask ourselves today - "Am I living for myself (my desires)?  Or am I living for God (His desires)?  It's never too late to make the changes in our daily lives that will point others toward Him, bring Him glory, and BLESS us in the process.  Show God how much you appreciate Him by living your life for His glory.  Happy Easter, everyone.

As always, you are welcome to save the word art to your computers; but you are never required to use it in order to play along in our challenges or to win.   We welcome you to share your all your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards).  You may link up to five (5) projects each week, for a total of ten (10) entries per two-week challenge. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning.  It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you as we share it. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules".  Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to the guidelines.  Please know that this doesn't mean we are judging anyone.  We're simply attempting to honor God and follow His rules.  Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation.
