Welcome back, creative friends! We hope that you're ready for another FUN new challenge here at Word Art Wednesday. Our challenges wouldn't be the same without each of you, and we're SO grateful to have you stop by to fellowship with us and share your creativity with us. You can see that we have another beautiful word art scripture available for FREE download. The verse in focus for this challenge is 1 Timothy 6:6 which says, "But godliness with contentment is great gain". This verse gently reminds us that while living a godly life is a blessing, that living that godly life with contentment (being fully satisfied and grateful for what we currently have/our circumstances) is great gain (a huge blessing). There are many people who attend church. Some people actually go to church every day. Some folks have memorized most (or perhaps even all) of the Bible, some do great works of charity, and some people study God's Word night and day. These are all wonderful (godly) attributes. However, this Bible verse is telling us that, along with all the ways we can live a godly life, being truly content, satisfied and fulfilled with our lives (our circumstances, our ailments, our struggles, the good and bad, etc. by trusting God fully) is one of the greatest joys and greatest gains we can achieve. Life WILL get difficult. But when we learn to fully trust God through it all and remain content, we gain something that the world can't offer. We can gain true happiness, contentment and a level of peace and joy that are SO immense. ONLY GOD can offer that.
As always, you are welcome to save the word art to your computer; but you are never required to use it in order to play along or to win in our challenges. We welcome you to share all of your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family friendly. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards). You may link up to five (5) projects each week for a total of ten (10) entries per two-week challenge. Any entries over that limit will be deleted and will make you ineligible to win. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning. It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and an encouragement to you as we share it.
