Here we are at the beginning of yet another AWESOME challenge here at Word Art Wednesday. As always, we're so blessed to have you join us and we hope that you enjoy your time here. We have another lucky winner, a brief devotional to encourage you, another FABULOUS sponsor, and some lovely inspiration to get you started. Let's begin our new challenge.
The Bible scripture of focus is 2 John 1:8 which reads, "Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward". Let's look into this verse a bit closer to see what it means and how it (like every bit of God's holy Word) can bless our lives today. First, it says that we must "look to ourselves" which tells us that it is within OUR OWN DOING to choose or reject Christ, the life He offers for following Him, and the fullness of His blessings in Heaven. The writer of this scripture, John, uses the word "we" because he included himself among those who are tempted by this world. But let me assure you, as John is doing here, that it is our choice to hold fast to Christ as we go through this life so that we can enjoy the fullness of His blessings now and forever. There is so much more to enjoy (both today and for all eternity); but we often miss out on God's favor and what He has for us ("things which we have wrought") but it's up to each of us individually to allow God to work in us so that He is glorified through our lives. Don't miss out of any of the wonderful blessings God has intended for you. Serve Him always with ALL your heart. The rewards are eternal.
As always, you are welcome to save the word art to your computer; but you are never required to use it in order to play along or to win in our challenges. We welcome you to share all of your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family friendly. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards). You may link up to five (5) projects each week for a total of ten (10) entries per two-week challenge. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning. It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and an encouragement to you as we share it. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules found under our Page tab marked "Challenge Rules". Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to our guidelines. Please know that this doesn't mean we are judging anyone. We're not. We are simply attempting to honor God and follow His rules. Please let us know if you have any questions about anything; and thank you for your understanding and participation.
