Well, here we are in the middle of April already. Where is this year going? Yikes. Soon the temperatures will be up in the triple digits (where I live, anyway) and I'll be stuck inside crafting even more. Wait....that's not a bad thing. It sure is a blessing when you all stop by and share your amazing art with us in our challenges. We have another fabulous sponsor, another lucky winner, a brief devotional to encourage you, and some inspiration to get you started. So with all that said, let's begin.
The scripture of focus used to create our sweet piece of word art for this challenge is Psalm 4:8 and it says, "I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety". So many people struggle with sleep issues. For me, this has never been a problem. But for those who do often struggle to sleep or stay asleep, this is a great verse of encouragement. It reminds us that when we place our complete trust in God, He allows us to lay down and to sleep knowing that we are truly safe". These words teach us that as we come to end of each day, we (like the writer, David) have to make a choice to rest in our faith in Him as opposed to letting the anxiety and stresses of life weigh us down and keep us from sleeping. God created us to sleep. God wants us to sleep. God WILL allow us to lay down and sleep when we lay our burdens on Him, truly let go of our worries, and trust Him for the rest. It sounds so simple....because it is. But WE HAVE TO DO IT. God won't just sprinkle a magic dust over us causing us to sleep. Nope. We must end our day by thanking Him, giving it all to Him, and trusting Him to handle what we cannot. When we do these things, the Bible (God's Word to us) tells us that "we are safe and will sleep". I beseech you, dear friends, give it all to Him. Know Him, know His peace, trust Him, rest in Him and be safe, happy and blessed.

We welcome you to share all of your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family friendly. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards).
