Anything Goes - Weeks #728-729

It's hard to believe that it's already December, right?  That really crept up quickly, and Christmas is just around the corner now.  Our next challenge, starting on December 17, will be our final challenge of the year.  This super FUN event will include the Word Art Wednesday Annual Christmas Blog Hop with oodles of amazing PRIZES, lots of great inspiration and fun for everyone.  The challenge will last through the end of the year and will commence with our first challenge of 2026 on January 7.  Mark your calendars now for this special event.  You won't want to miss it, friends.

DON'T FORGET:  December 17, our next challenge, is the first day of the Word Art Wednesday Annual Christmas Blog Hop.  There are so many fabulous prizes to be won, and lots of fun.  Mark your crafty calendar so that you don't miss this special three-week event.

The Bible verse used to create our word art scripture is Matthew 1:21 which reads, "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call His name Jesus; for He shall save His people from their sins".  Mary and Joseph absolutely, without any doubt, that the child Mary was carrying was their Savior, the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ.  They were told that "thou shalt call His name Jesus" because the name Jesus means "the Lord saves", and this child (Jesus) had come to save mankind from their sinful condition.  Note that the verse says, "He shall save His people from their sins".  You see......not all people will be forgiven of, or saved from, their sins.  It clearly says that HIS people will be saved from their sins.  While Jesus came to earth and died for ALL of mankind, it is left UP TO EACH OF US to either accept His gift, or sadly, to reject it.  God wants to forgive us of our sins, to enter our lives, to bless us and take us to Heaven when we leave this earth.  However, it's necessary for US to ASK Him to save us from our sins.  We must first recognize our sinful condition, confess our sins to Him, and ASK Him to enter our life and save us from our sins.  Don't be mistaken about what gets us to Heaven or what gets us to God.  It WILL NOT come through good works, contributions, etc.  It comes ONLY through us ASKING God for it.  I absolutely want to be one of "His people".  Is your name written in the Book of Life?  Can you call Jesus your friend?  Your Savior?  This is why He came to earth and it's why we were created....to know Him, to strive to be like Him, and to be saved from our sins so that our eternity is a good one.  If you've never made the decision to ask God into your heart/your life, right now is the perfect time.  God wants to know you, bless you and save you.  PRAISE GOD!  He's waiting for us to call on His name and be saved from our sins.

As always, you are welcome to save the word art to your computer; but you are never required to use it in order to play along or to win in our challenges.  We welcome you to share all of your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family friendly.  This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards).  You may link up to five (5) projects each week for a total of ten (10) entries per two-week challenge.  Any entries over that limit will be deleted and will make you ineligible to win.  The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning.  It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and an encouragement to you as we share it.  If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules found under our Page tab marked "Challenge Rules".  Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to our guidelines.   Please know that this doesn't mean we are judging anyone.  We're not.  We are simply attempting to honor God and follow His rules.  Please let us know if you have any questions about anything; and thank you for your understanding and participation.
