It's time for another FUN challenge here at Word Art Wednesday and we're so blessed to have you join us. The challenges are always more fun when everyone can play along and share their amazing art with us. It's such an honor, and I truly wish that every single one of you could be our "winner" each time. Our word art scripture for this challenge is Psalm 145:2 and it says, "Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever". It's pretty straightforward and clear what this verse means; but let's just break it down anyway. The first thing I noticed was that it clearly reads "every" day. So, the Psalmist (David) was saying that he was (as are we) supposed to bless God every day. Not just when we're feeling happy, or when we're in need, or when times dictate one way or the other; but EVERY single day we should bless the Lord. How do we bless Him? It is by living His way, following His laws, His precepts and teachings that we are able to bless Him. Doing that which brings the most possible glory to God with our lives is how we should live each day. Our ultimate goal is always to bring glory to His name and to point others toward Him as we live for Him and serve Him. The latter part of this verse says that "I will praise thy name for ever and ever". Again, it reminds us that we are to PRAISE GOD always. Let His praise be on my lips always. Not just in times of plenty, but in every situation every day. If we make it our focus to praise Him and to live our lives in a way that brings Him ultimate glory, He will help us to live for Him and He will bless us in return. The closer we draw to God, the more He continues to pour Himself out upon us in every way. This is what allows us to live for Him and bring Him the glory and praise He so richly deserves. Let this be your goal....to "bless God every day and praise His name for ever and ever". Amen.
