Welcome back, everyone! It's time for another FUN challenge here at Word Art Wednesday and we're SO glad you've chosen to join us. There were so many beautiful cards and projects linked up in our last challenge, and we're already looking forward to seeing what you'll share with us this time. Please know that we are very grateful that you link up and play along with us. Even if we don't get around to your blog to leave a comment, please know that you are very much appreciated.
The scripture used for our word is Matthew 28:6 and it says, "He is not here: for He is risen as He said. Come, see the place where the LORD lay." This is a wonderful verse of TRUTH. The Holy Bible is 100% TRUE and COMPLETE as it is, and it contains EVERYTHING that God (the one and ONLY true God) wanted us to know about Him and His truths. And here's the BIG difference between the Bible and other teachings (with false gods): As this verse reminds us, Jesus Christ (God in human flesh) came to earth, was crucified, dead and buried, and He rose from the dead proving He is God. AND, He was SEEN BY HUNDREDS OF EYE WITNESSES. This verse (from the Easter resurrection story) tells us that when people came to visit the grave where Jesus had been buried, the stone was rolled away and He wasn't there. Now, some skeptics might try to say that His body was moved. NOT true. As I mentioned, Jesus was SEEN by HUNDREDS of eyewitnesses AFTER His death and resurrection. And these witnesses also saw Jesus ascend into Heaven as He told them that "He was going to prepare a place for us". It's not a story just for Easter. This is a verse to be celebrated ALL THE TIME. Not only did God Almighty come to earth in human flesh; but while He was here, He made a way for us to spend eternity with Him in Heaven. PLEASE don't make religion complicated, friends. It's very clear and very simply. JESUS is the ONLY WAY to get to Heaven and He's preparing a place where He very much wants to see YOU one day. As you picture that empty tomb, give Him thanks for what He has done. Call on Jesus today and tell Him that you appreciate what He did when he came, suffered, died, was buried and rose again, and went to prepare a perfect place for us. Will you be going?
As always, you are welcome to save the word art to your computers; but you are never required to use it in order to play along in our challenges or to win. We welcome you to share your all your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards). You may link up to five (5) projects each week, for a total of ten (10) entries per two-week challenge. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning. It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you as we share it. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules". Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to the guidelines. Please know that this doesn't mean we are judging anyone.
