Anything Goes Weeks #531-#532

Welcome to Word Art Wednesday, and thanks for stopping by for another AWESOME challenge.  We have another wonderful sponsor, a brief devotional, lots of great inspiration, and fun waiting for everyone.  We're so blessed here at Word Art Wednesday by the awesome sponsors that God has provided for us.  We give Him all the praise for providing, and we keep our wonderful sponsors in our thoughts and prayers.  We do hope that you'll stop by and support these wonderful companies who do so much to bless our crafting community.  We are so very blessed.  Prause God.  PLEASE NOTE:  If you're not already FOLLOWING Word Art Wednesday, please follow us on the left hand side-bar of the blog.  It's greatly appreciated, and we thank you for it.  Now....let's get started with our challenge.

The word art scripture for this challenge is Hosea 2:19 and it reads, "And I will betroth thee unto me forever: yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies".  I studied this verse for a while and I really struggled, to be very honest, to find a way to put into words what I'd learned.  What I can say is - I believe this verse is reminding us that the more of Christ we take (betroth) unto ourselves, the more our lives will reflect the mercies and attributes that are God.  When we are able and willing to allow ALL of God's wonderful power, wisdom, judgments, love and righteousness control our lives; only then can we reflect Him and His goodness with our lives.  To experience ALL that God has for us, we must learn to "betroth" (take unto ourselves) His likeness.  This won't happen quickly.  It's a process that we continue for our entire lives (once we've accepted Christ as our Savior, and) as we study Him and His precious Word, we continually grow into ALL that He has for us.  As a mature Christian, it's important that our actions point others toward Jesus.  This can't happen if we aren't continually seeking to learn more about Him, grow in His wisdom, and take on His attributes.  Perhaps an experienced pastor or theologian would have given you a much better devotional on this verse, but this is what God laid on my heart to share and I do hope it's an encouragement to you this week.  Challenge yourself to take on ALL the wonderful attributes of God as you grow in His wisdom, His word and His love.

As always, you are welcome to save the word art to your computers; but you are never required to use it in order to play along in our challenges or to win.   We welcome you to share your all your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards).  You may link up to five (5) projects each week, for a total of ten (10) entries per two-week challenge. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning.  It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you as we share it. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules".  Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to the guidelines.  Please know that this doesn't mean we are judging anyone.  We're simply attempting to honor God and follow His rules.  Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation.
