Anything Goes - Weeks #446-#447

Welcome back to Word Art Wednesday.....the BEST little challenge blog around.  Well, at least I tend to this so.  God has blessed us with such AWESOME and generous sponsors, and it's always SO much fun seeing all the gorgeous projects you link up with us.  WOW, you all are so super talented; and you're ALL winners in our opinion.  It's inspiring to see your creations, and we really are grateful to have you link up with us here for your chance to win our AWESOME prize.  For this challenge, that's the one and only Lawn Fawn Stamps.  As always, our challenge is Anything Goes (following blog rules).  We'd like to give a warm welcome to Ginny Maxam who is rejoining our Design Team.  And finally, please don't forget to check out Emma's Paperie and grab some bargains before they close their doors forever.

The scripture for our lovely piece of word art is found in Psalm and it says, "For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another".  This is a brilliant passage that reminds us that, even though we are saved by grace and forgiven of our sins (through the shed bled of Christ on the cross), we aren't supposed to use our liberty (freedom) for the wrong purpose.  We are called, as followers of Christ, to be separate (different from) the world and to represent the greatness of God in all we do.  However, some people take this liberty, or free will; knowing that God will forgive us, and they choose to sin.  That's not what the Lord expects of us.  Not only are we to be separate (different, holy, set apart, etc.) but we are also called to use our liberty (freedom) for the glory of God.  Next time you are tempted to do something that you know is wrong (whether that's telling a lie, spreading gossip, drinking or smoking, etc.) try to remind yourself that this is not what pleases God.  The Lord will ALWAYS give you a way to escape (avoid) the sinful choice(1 Corinthians 10:13) and He will help you to do what's right.  Christians are most certainly not perfect people.  We are SINNERS, saved by the grace of God.  We are called to good works, and God will help us make those right choices when we ask Him, submit to Him, and look to Him when we struggle.  There's always a way to do what's right, and it will bring SO much more joy to our lives and to those who are watching us (our children, spouse, grandchildren, neighbors, etc.).  Look to God for ALL your needs.  Making good choices is also how we can begin to "serve one another".  We build up others by our example, and we can serve others by showing them that our liberty is under control.  Be that example.  God is always there...waiting to bless and guide us.

As always, you are welcome to save the word art to your computer; but you are never required to use it in order to play along in our challenges or to win.   We welcome you to share your all your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards).  You may link up to five (5) projects each week, for a total of ten (10) entries per two-week challenge. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning.  It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you as we share it. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules".  Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to the guidelines.  Please know that this doesn't mean we are judging anyone.  We're simply attempting to honor God and follow His rules.  Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation.
