Welcome back to Word Art Wednesday! We're so glad you're here once again to play along with us. We have another awesome sponsor, a beautiful scripture file (download for free), a lucky winner, and lots of fun for you all. Let's get started right away with our new challenge.
The scripture that was used in this week's sweet word art/scripture file is Psalm 13:6. Every time I look into the Psalms, I know that I will surely be blessed and learn valuable bits of knowledge that bring peace and assurance. This verse was very much just that as I began to study it and ask God for wisdom regarding it. Let's notice first that David said, "I will sing unto the Lord", and this was at a time when he was facing some pretty heavy personal trials in his life. His faith never faltered (and neither should ours), and David was praising God in song. He went on to say, "because He hath dealt bountifully with me". We all have our "trials" and troubles as we go through our lives here on Earth day by day. But just like David, I would always want to remember to "sing unto the Lord" and keep His praises in my heart, in my mind; and I don't want to get caught up in those things in life that would hinder me from pleasing God. Just like David, we all make choices from day to day. Some of them are good choices, and some of them (like David) are bad choices. When we make a bad choice, we have to suffer the consequences of that mistake; but once we've confessed our faults to God asking His forgiveness, we can move forward boldly knowing that we are forgiven. As we move forward, our goal becomes more in learning to not make the same mistakes in the future and to share your new knowledge with others when they struggle with a similar situation. When David said that "the Lord had dealt bountifully with him", he knew that the Lord was allowing a lot to happen in his life; but trusted fully that God would always give him the grace, strength and wisdom to eventually overcome his trials. The same is true for you and for me today. God will, perhaps, "deal bountifully" with us, but He will ALWAYS be there to see us through when we call on Him (God/Jesus Christ) and look to Him alone for your all your needs.
As always, you are welcome to save the free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are never required to use it in order to play along in our challenges. We welcome you share your all your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards). You may link up to five (5) projects each week, for a total of ten (10) entries per two-week challenge. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning. It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you as we share it. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules". Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to the guidelines. Please know that this doesn't mean we are judging anyone. We're simply attempting to honor God and follow His rules. Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation!
