Welcome by today, everyone! It's time for yet another FUN and exciting challenge, and we couldn't be happier to have YOU join us. Things are coming along nicely and our sponsor calendar for the coming year is almost filled. God is providing again, exceeding abundantly; and we PRAISE HIM. This week we have an AWESOME new sponsor, The Cat's Pajamas, and we're really excited to have their support. We really do hope you will take time to visit our sponsors and check out their wonderful products. We are SO blessed because there wouldn't be a challenge here without the very generous support they offer. May God richly bless others for being so gracious with what He has given them. When we are faithful with what we have, He continues to bless us with even more. We really do pray for God's hand of blessing on ALL our awesome sponsors.
The scripture used on the word art is found in Psalm 31:14, and it tells us "But I trusted in thee, O LORD; I said, thou art my God". The Psalms are filled with wonderful praises of the heart and wonderful words of encouragement. Some say that the Bible is "old fashioned, hard to understand", but when our hearts are open and we are willing to learn; there is SO much in God's Word to bless and enrich our daily lives, and God will make it very clear to us what He is trying to say. This verse is a lesson and reminder to us, as it was to David, that the LORD is our source of strength, and of eternal security. Our faith protects us from harm...in a way, like a shield carried by a soldier. It can shelter us from the blows of life. But in battle, a solider can break his shield, or even lose his shield. And quite the opposite, our faith cannot ever be broken or lost. Sadly, sometimes we may put it on a shelf and tuck it away for a time; but it's still there. When the psalmist (David) said "thou art my God", He was reminding himself that his faith in Christ (his eternal hope and salvation) was a PERMANENT thing that could not be taken from him. We might misplace our shield along the way, but when our faith is placed in the LORD (Jehovah God in the Old Testament, and Jesus Christ in the New Testament), it is FOREVER and cannot be taken or removed from us. Praise God!
As always, you are welcome to save the free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are never required to use it in order to play along in our challenges. We welcome you share your all your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards). You may link up to five (5) projects each week, for a total of ten (10) entries per two-week challenge. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning. It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you as we share it. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules". Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to the guidelines. Please know that this doesn't mean we are judging anyone. We're simply attempting to honor God and follow His rules. Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation!
