Anything Goes #408-#409

Welcome back to Word Art Wednesday!  I've been working hard lately trying to set up all the sponsors for 2020.  If anyone has any suggestions or leads in this area, I'd love to hear from you.  God is providing as He always does, and we're SO grateful that He allows us to maintain this challenge blog.  As long as God continues to provide, we will do our best to keep bringing you fun challenges, devotionals that we hope are a blessing to you, free digital scripture files, fabulous prizes, beautiful inspiration, and LOTS of fun.  Your prayers are always appreciated, and of course, your PRAISES as well.  God is good....ALL the time.  Thanks for joining us.

The scripture for our word art is Romans 10:15.  This verse asks a question and says, "And how shall they preach, except they be sent?  as it is written, how beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things"!  These words speak to my own heart in a very personal way; as our middle daughter (and son-in-law) are missionaries, and I've always had a heart for missionaries.  Many of you know missionaries personally.  What a humbling statement for the LORD God to say that those who go to preach the gospel and share glad tidings are considered "beautiful" on the feet of them.  It's good to please the Lord.  Of course, this doesn't mean that missionaries (or anyone else) can do enough good things to possibly "earn" their way into Heaven, because there's nothing that's "good enough" that any of us could ever do to impress God or to earn our way into spending eternity with Him in Heaven.  Because every human being is sinful, we (in and of ourselves) could never satisfy the debt that is owed for our sinfulness.  EVERY person, no matter WHO they are or what they've done, NEEDS to call on Jesus (God in human flesh) for the eternal security we all seek.  He (God in human flesh) was the only perfect sacrifice who could satisfy the debt that was owed for the sinfulness of mankind.  Praise God!!  He satisfied our debt and paid the price. This verse is reminding us that He loves those who go all around the world to share this wonderful news, His love, His plan of salvation.  And God tell us that these people (who go) are "beautiful" to Him.  This should remind us that.....because this matters to God and pleases Him, WE need to remember to PRAY for missionaries and all those who share the gospel of Jesus Christ (the good news or "glad tidings") with others.  Some do it every day...with their neighbors, people at the store, their doctor, their gardener, etc.  Some people go to the far ends of the earth to reach people in the outmost regions with God's love and plan for their eternal salvation, and some go to places where it's sometimes even illegal, unethical, sketchy and downright dangerous to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.  But people need to know the truth, and they need to have a Bible in their own language so that they can then learn of Him and grow in their faith.  This is why God reminds us here (as in other verses) that He loves His people, considers their efforts beautiful, and expects US to send them.  Not everyone can BE a missionary abroad.  However, each and every one of us can PRAY for missionaries; and we should.  If you know of a missionary, please pray for them.  If you're not familiar yet with a mission you can pray for regularly; please let me know and I'll send you a prayer card or direct you to sites that show you missionaries who would greatly appreciate your prayers.  There is great joy in praying for missionaries and for the needs of others in general.  We don't always hear right away about how God answers those prayers, or how He blesses them, but you can trust and know that God will always watch over them and provide for their needs; and each prayer is answered according to His will, and in a way that's best for the person for whom you are praying.  YOU can be part of missions around the world...simply by praying.  Let's not forget about missionaries.

As always, you are welcome to save the free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are never required to use it in order to play along in our challenges.   We welcome you share your all your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards).  You may link up to five (5) projects each week, for a total of ten (10) entries per two-week challenge. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning.  It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you as we share it. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules".  Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to the guidelines.  Please know that this doesn't mean we are judging anyone.  We're simply attempting to honor God and follow His rules.  Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation!
