Welcome by today, friends! We're so glad that you've chosen to stop by to play along in our challenge. We have (two) lucky winners, a fabulous sponsor, a new piece of word art, a brief devotional, and LOTS of fun waiting for you. Let's get started with another FAB challenge here at Word Art Wednesday!
The scriptures used for our new piece of word art are found in 2 Corinthians 3:4-5. These verses are actually the answer to a question asked in 2 Corinthians 2:16 which asks the question regarding life and death, "And who is sufficient for these things"? So, the writer has asked in 2:16 who could possibly be sufficient to give (or to judge) life and death. As the gospel was being spread, we read that it was like a sweet fragrance to God, who alone brings (eternal) life to the believer and (eternal) death to the rejector. These verses tell us that our trust (faith) in Christ helps us to grow and to please Him, and that we alone are not sufficient to raise ourselves up to life (and most especially unto eternal life). We are not enough, in and of ourselves. We need Him! There is only ONE WAY to having eternal life in Heaven. You can't study your way in, you can't buy your way in, you can do enough good deeds to get yourself in, and you can't pray yourself in to Heaven. You don't need to jump through any hoops or be anything special. All you need to do in order to secure your eternal life in Heaven is to call on God, confess your sins and your inability to be enough, and just TRUST HIM. He already paid the price by giving Himself as a flawless, perfect and sinless sacrifice (God in human flesh) and giving His life for ours on the Cross of Calvary. Yes, there's ONLY ONE WAY TO HEAVEN....through the blood of Jesus Christ. You can call on Him today and SECURE your eternal home in Heaven; and once you do, you can never lose it. He's waiting (and happy) to hear from you!
As always, you are welcome to save the free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are never required to use it in order to play along in our challenges. We welcome you share your all your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards). You may link up to five (5) projects each week, for a total of ten (10) entries per two-week challenge. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning. It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you as we share it. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules". Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to the guidelines. Please know that this doesn't mean we are judging anyone. We're simply attempting to honor God and follow His rules. Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation!
