Welcome back to Word Art Wednesday, everyone! It's time for another FUN challenge, and we couldn't be happier that you've chosen to stop by and play along with us. SO SORRY about this, but......we're having a bit of "drama" trying to figure out the new InLinkz tool, and because I got completely frustrated and gave up trying, this linky party is unable to start until 12:00 PM (which is noon today). If anyone knows how to fix this problem with the new version of InLinkz (grrrrr), PLEASE let me know. Thanks!! There's lots of fun, a new scripture/word art file for you, our brief devotional, another lucky winner, a wonderful sponsor and a great challenge awaiting you, so.....let's get started!
What a beautiful verse we see in 1 Peter 1:3 telling us that "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord, Jesus Christ; which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead". This verse gives us the wonderful promise of God's mercy. You see, grace is when we receive something positive we don't deserve; but mercy is when someone withholds a negative consequence we do deserve. There is a penalty for our sin, and the debt we each owe is to be forever separated from God in a place called Hell. But, because He loves us SO very much, He provided a way for us to escape this terrible punishment, and avoid being separated from Him. He willingly gives us something that we never earned, and that we certainly don't deserve.....that's grace! And avoiding the debt we owe.....that's mercy. What a joy to have these wonderful promises given to us through His precious Word. We hope that this word art will be a blessing to you, and that you will receive this beautiful and eternal gift God has given us through His son and our savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
As always, you are welcome to save the free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are never required to use it in order to play along in our challenges. We welcome you share your all your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards). You may link up to five (5) projects each week, for a total of ten (10) entries per two-week challenge. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning. It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you as we share it. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules". Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to our guidelines. Please know that this doesn't mean we are judging anyone. We're simply attempting to honor God and follow His rules. Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation!
