Challenge #210 - Anything Goes

Welcome back, friends!  We're so glad you are here and that you have chosen to share your talents with us.  We consider you ALL winners, and we wish you the very best of luck in the random draw for our TWO MORE FABULOUS PRIZES this week.  We have lots of fun for you all again, so let's get started.

This week, our word art comes from a lovely scripture in 1 Chronicles.  It tells us "to give thanks to the LORD, for He is good".  We can all attest to His goodness.  He cared about us SO MUCH that He simply couldn't stand by and watch us fade away after our deaths.  He loved us enough to provide a way for us to be able to spend all eternity with Him.  He knew that, because of our in-born sinfulness, there HAD TO BE a perfect and sinless sacrifice who could offer their life, pay the price to wipe out our sins; and provide a worthy and spotless sacrifice that would allow us to receive forgiveness so that we could be in His presence.  Again, because of His extreme "goodness and love", He became that perfect sacrifice, and He made a way to pay the price for our sins Himself.  Because He is the ONLY ONE who is spotless, sinless, without blemish, and absolutley PERFECT; He alone was the perfect sacrifice.  He fulfilled the Old Testament prophecy, died for our sins, paid the debt, and set us free from sinfulness and unrighteousness.   Now, all we have to do is CALL ON HIS NAME, confess our sins, simply tell God that you love Him and appreciate what He did for you on the cross of Calvary.

I think that most people go through the motions of Thanksgiving.  We're SUPER busy, we cook our turkey and stuffing, bake our pies, make all the salads and family favorites.  By the time we sit down to eat, we are already exhausted.  Then, dinner is finished and we have to start cleaning it all up again.  Let me challenge you this Thansgiving to do something a bit differently.  When you all sit down to eat, (of course don't forget to pray and thank God for the meal) but also, take the time to really thank God for His goodness.  Just let Him know, out loud, in front of your entire family (and whomever else might be there for dinner) that you are SO grateful for His goodness and His love.  For God so LOVED the world that He gave His only begotten Son.  Think about it, NO ONE or NOTHING else loves you SO MUCH that they'd send you a free gift that allows you to live forever in paradise.  Because we do forget to thank Him adequately, PLEASE DON'T FORGET to thank Him for His goodness and love at Thanksgiving dinner.  He truly deserves to hear it EVERY day (several times per day); and if you do that, then God will bless you.  You are pleasing God and honoring Him with your words.  But if you're like so many other Christians who simply forget to tell Him on a regular and daily basis, then REALLY take that time this year to tell Him OUT LOUD how grateful you are for His goodness and love so that He knows you are grateful.  Yes, He can read your thoughts, and knows you're grateful; but He still loves to hear you say it OUT LOUD.  He TRULY deserves it, and you will feel SO good when you take that time before you eat to TELL HIM how incredibly grateful and blessed you are for His goodness and love that He demonstrates towards us every day.

As always, you are welcome to save this week's free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are not required to use it in order to play along in our challenges.   We welcome you share your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards).  You may link up to five (5) projects each week. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning.  It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you each week. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules".  Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to our guidelines.  Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation!
