Challenge #53 - Give Thanks

This verse, 1 Thessalonians 5:18, that says "In everything give thanks" means that it is the will of God that we thank Him IN EVERY CIRCUMSTANCE.  How many of us would stub our toe and say, "thank you, Lord"?  Or, how many of us would lose our jobs, and say, "Oh, Thank You, Lord".  Yet, that's exactly what this verse is saying.   We need to learn, and trust, that in every single circumstance, we need to give thanks to God because HE KNOWS WHAT'S BEST FOR US in every circumstance.  God is sovereign, and He doesn't allow anything to happen to His children by accident.  It's all a part of His master plan; and when we learn to thank Him in our circumstance, we will be more able to clearly see His perfect will for our lives, or "see the bigger picture".  So.....the next time something happens to you - good or bad - remember to say, "thank you, Lord - I know you have this under control and I trust You.  I want to know your will for my life".  You will be amazed at how God will reveal His will to you when you learn to thank Him in every circumstance.

You are welcome to go with this "Give Thanks" theme if you'd like, but it's just a suggestion.  Our Design Team has used this verse to create our art, but you are welcome to share whatever you choose.  We always leave the creative decisions to YOU, and we love to see the art that God lays on your hearts to create - including cards, layouts, altered art, you name it.  We really appreciate having you share your creativity with us.

As always, feel free to save this free weekly word/scripture art to your computer. You are welcome to use it in your entry, but not required to do so. As long as you use an encouraging or uplifting sentiment on your project, that is fine. You can also link more than one project each week (up to 5). The more, the merrier. We just hope that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you each week. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules".
Here is this week's free scripture/word art file. We hope that it will be a blessing to you.

Howdy! This post couldn't be written much better! Reading through this article reminds me of my previous roommate! He constantly kept preaching about this. I will forward this information to him. Fairly certain he will have a very good read. I appreciate you for sharing!
