You're here today and we're so grateful. We hope that you're having a blessed and creative week and we're already looking forward to seeing all the fabulous cards you're ready to share with us. It's always fun when we finish a card we really like, and then we get it linked up to our favorite challenges. We hope that Word Art Wednesday is your favorite challenge. It sure is a blessing to have you share your sweet cards and creations with us. It's an honor and a privilege to have you link up your amazing art anywhere, and we're so thankful that you've chosen to stop by Word Art Wednesday to share your creations with us. The scripture that was used to create our lovely word art is 1 Kings 8:61and it says, "Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in His statutes, and to keep His commandments as at this day". Let's break it down like this......"Let your heart" - this refers to your awareness, your mind and your understanding. So, first, let's make our mind aware and understanding of what God expects. "therefore be perfect"- especially friendly, full, just, made ready and peaceable according to God's Word. "with the LORD" - referring to being with and living for Jehovah God of the Bible. "our God" - the One true God, our supreme God, Jesus. "to walk" - to journey forward. "in His statutes" - bound by His commandments and covenants. "and to keep" - to hedge about you in a manner of guarding. "His commandments" - the laws and covenants He has given us in His holy Word. "as at this day" - now in this current day, renewing each day and remaining steadfast in our ways. So, if we put all that together, this verse is basically telling us to "be aware, be peaceable in our doings and to walk with God always keeping His laws as we carefully guard our lives from the threats of this world by surrounding ourselves with His knowledge and strength as we walk through each day of our lives. He will sustain us". God's Word is filled with beautiful verses to encourage us. This one simply reminds us that life is always better when we walk in a manner that reflects God and His statutes. Troubles arise when we try to live life our way. Joy and peace come when we surrender our lives completely to Him. Are we truly perfect? Certainly not. However, this should be our (very high) standard. The world is NOT our measuring stick. God's Holy Word is our measuring stick. Walk with God and know peace. Walk with the world and NO PEACE.....not in this life or in eternity. "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the LORD shall be saved". Today is a great day to call on Him and start living the blessed life He has for you.
As always, you are welcome to save the word art to your computer; but you are never required to use it in order to play along or to win in our challenges. We welcome you to share all of your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family friendly. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards). You may link up to five (5) projects each week for a total of ten (10) entries for each two-week challenge. Any entries over that limit will be deleted and will make you ineligible to win. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning. It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and an encouragement to you as we share it.
