Anything Goes - Weeks #647-648

The beautiful scripture used to create this piece of word art comes to us from the Book of Psalms, Chapter 113 and verse 9.  It says, "He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children.  Praise ye the Lord."  What rich blessings and truths are found in this one simple verse.  Many of us have been blessed to bear our own children.  But there's no doubt that some among us have struggled with this issue; just as women have done for all time.  During Bible times, baring children was looked upon as a highly-respected position, and not being able to do so would (still does) often cause great sorrow.  So, right away, God assures us that even the barren woman will find her place where God can use her for His glory.  As the barren woman (you and I perhaps) begins to work in her home by serving her family through cooking, cleaning, teaching, etc.; God blesses her life and causes her to bear fruit that honors Him.  This is very symbolic of our lives in general.  You see, it isn't our position that gives us purpose.....it's GOD who gives us purpose.  Despite our ability (or lack thereof) to do some of the things we desire, God CAN and WILL still use each of us if we allow Him to do so.  Our joy is made complete by trusting God and being open to whatever role He has for us in every season of our lives.  God can use us at home, at church, in our communities, and (this day and age) even on the internet.  So, the next time God has a difficult answer for you (such as NO - to child baring or any other issue in life), simply TRUST Him, wait for Him, follow and obey Him.  God WILL use each of us for His glory when we allow Him to use us.  Always be willing to allow God to show you just how, when, where are why He will use you for His glory.  We each have an important role in sharing His truth, His love, and His precious gift of salvation.  This is a great time of year to thank our Mothers, Grandmothers, and ALL the women (people) who have blessed us along the way.  How is God calling YOU to be used for His glory?
