Challenge #200 - LET'S CELEBRATE!!!

It's our 200th Challenge, and that means LOTS of great prizes for you!  But let me say this.....we REALLY want to see us reach 200 entries (at least) since this is our 200th Challenge.  We encourage you to link up the full FIVE (5) entries this week that you're each allowed, and that will increase your odds of winning one of the 15  AWESOME PRIZES that our generous sponsors are offering this week.  We're SO glad you've joined us, and we're ready to get started with the BIG celebration.

Our word art/scripture for this week is Psalm 20:7 and it reads "Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God."  During this time, David fought against enemies to the north (Syrians and others) whose cities would be very arrogant and boastful about their armies.  They would weigh the strength of their city against the numbers in their military might.  If a city had hundreds of soldiers willing to fight for their honor, or if they had golden chariots with many mighty horses; they were considered a threat to all, including David.  But in this verse, David reminds us that his strength (just like ours) doesn't rely on military strength, chariots or horses.  He knew that his true strength comes from the LORD (God in the Old Testament, Jesus Christ in the New Testament); and that by having God on his side, he had nothing to fear.  Today, all around the world, countries are looking to nuclear bombs, heavy military support, and all sorts of reinforcements to defend them.  What many have forgotten is that our military troops, fire power, and the best of plans cannot save us from what is to come.  The ONLY defense that truly matters is the LORD our God, and our relationship with Him.  It doesn't matter if it's a small battle you're facing, or a huge battle (such as war, etc.).  Our only hope is in the LORD, and we need to pray diligently that America will turn its face back to the Lord Jesus Christ. He is our only hope.  But also remember this....even if our country doesn't turn to Him, WE MUST!  God is our strength and our refuge (a safe place during difficult times), and as long as we keep our lives fixed on Him, we WILL be protected in the end.  God is our only hope.  Please, dear friends, don't ever lose sight of what is truly important - Jesus Christ and what He has done for us by paying the price for our sins on the cross; providing a way for us to get to Heaven.  The world WILL come to an end some day.  Don't place your trust in anything else.  JESUS is the answer!

As always, you are welcome to save this week's free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are not required to use it in order to play along in our challenges.   We welcome you share your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards).  You may link up to five (5) projects each week. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning.  It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you each week. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules".  Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to our guidelines.  Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation!

Here's this week's scripture/word art file.
We hope it will be a blessing to you.

Just for fun, I looked back in my gallery to see when I first started participating. It was almost exactly three years ago, in September 2012. Thank you for your kind encouragement over the years!

I haven't had so much fun in ages! Thanks for doing this celebration ... the five posts I did for this are more posts than I'd done the past two years! But I'm really thankful for your blog, and its promotion of scripture. What a blessing! Even though my card making season is a bit limited as I have an unusually low load for grad school this semester, I hope to keep on visiting Word Art Wednesday for inspiration both spiritual and artistic! Blessings to all of you for all your work and dedication!
