Challenge #158 - Anything Goes

Welcome back!  It's time for another awesome challenge here at Word Art Wednesday, and we're all SO glad that you've stopped by to play along with us.  Each week, we enjoy seeing your amazing cards and projects, and we realize that there are literally hundreds of challenge blogs out there where you could choose to share your art; but we're blessed beyond words when you choose to share them with us.  You are all SO talented, and we wish we could give EVERYONE a prize each week.  Thanks so much for sharing with us.  We had over 200 entries this past week!

This week's word art scripture is Ephesians 5:20, and this one simple verse can profoundly impact our lives in a powerful way.  As many of you know, I recently lost my most precious Sister-in-Law to brain cancer.  It would be easy for me to get depressed, angry, and upset; but I won't.  I could share with you all the terrible heartaches each of our Design Team Members have recently faced; and you would agree that we all have a reason to be upset.  However, we all face choices every day.  Choices about our attitudes, and how we look at life.  What would it benefit us to be permanently sad about circumstances we cannot control?  This powerful verse reminds us that in EVERY situation, there is MUCH for which we can (and should) be thankful.  I've grown closer to my Brother-in-Law, and have rekindled some amazing relationships within our family.  I would be writing pages and pages if I were to sit and name ALL the blessings God has placed in my life; even through Audra's death.  We are a blessed people!  Another DT Member recently went through a horrific family ordeal concerning a grandchild; but rather than get upset with our gracious and sovereign God, she has chosen to count her blessings and trust God's sovereign and wise decisions.  Your blessings will ALWAYS outweigh your burdens.  And if they don't, YOU NEED TO GET ON YOUR KNEES AND GET REAL ABOUT HOW VERY BLESSED YOU ARE.  We tend to take MUCH for granted.  When you wake up in the morning, THAT is a blessing.  I encourage you to start your day praising God for even the small things.  For instance, when is the last time you thanked God for your ten fingers or ten toes, your ears, eyes, hair, etc.?  They could be taken from you in an instant, yet are often taken for granted.  The same is true of our family members, our jobs, our food, our warm beds, etc.  There is NO END to the list of blessings in our lives.  Yes, we will all have heartaches, and things WILL go wrong.  But in EVERY circumstance, look for the good things, and give God the PRAISE and the GLORY He SO deserves.

As always, you are welcome to save this week's free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are not required to use it in order to play along in our challenges.   We welcome you share your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards).  You may link up to five (5) projects each week. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning.  It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you each week. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules".  Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to these guidelines (dark images, etc.).  Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation!

Here's this week's beautiful scripture/word art file.
We hope that it will be a blessing to you!

All of the designers cards are gorgeous. Again, so many beautiful and unique designs. I love all the colors and to see how everyone used the scripture. I think we are all living life in the fast lane and forgetting to stop and THANK GOD for ALL OF HIS BLESSINGS. Even the ones we cant see. God bless you all. Thank you for the reminder that we are all human. We all have the same fears, emotions, hurt ... but we also have each other. Lifting one another up in prayer. And we have a Father who loves us and is ready to pick us up when we are weak and hold us and comfort us and give us strength.

Another wonderful challenge and beautiful scripture to hide in our hearts.

Lots of love,
Heather

Something that I do to remember the things that the lord has done to bless me is to write what the date was and the blessing on a little pendent that I die cut and then string it up on long ribbon to form a garland. I use it to decorate my room, it serves to remind me how much the Lord really does love me and care for me. great verse for this week.
