November Guest Designer, Natalie Houston

Our Guest Designer for November is the very sweet and talented Natalie Houston.  Natalie has been playing along in our challenges for quite some time, and we're always blessed by her beautiful art and her deep love for the Lord, Jesus Christ.  We hope that you will all stop by her blog, Delightful Details, to say hello and welcome her to the Word Art Wednesday family.  We know that she will be a blessing to you all this month.  Here is little bit about herself that she has chosen to share with everyone.
November Guest Designer, Natalie Houston
I cannot remember a time when I was not doing something crafty.  I've sewn clothes and quilted, made fabric dolls and even tried my hand at tole painting (which I found out I'm not very good at, but my husband was!)  So scrapbooking and cardmaking had to be the next fabulous crafty adventure, and I love it!  My dear husband of 37 years, Kerry, has tolerated the late nights and creative chaos throughout the house very well (well, for the most part, anyway!)

We have lived in northern California all of our lives and raised our 3 children here. We are blessed with 1 grandson (Jake, 6) and 3 grand daughters (Riley 5, Addy 4, & Tucker 3). I work at the locally-owned scrapbook store 2 days a week and then take care of 3 of the grandkids the other weekdays. My husband works in a lumber mill by day and is the pastor of the community church the other 16 hours! So that is another hat I have worn for 16 years ("Pastor's wife") so my life is very full and very blessed with serving the Lord, serving my family and our extended church family.

I started scrapbooking about 8 years ago. My first scrapbook was for my parents' 50th anniversary.  After that, the grandkids started arriving so it's been focused on them (and gradually I began making cards too).  I've discovered a love for Copic Markers, paper piecing, and lately I've gotten my hands into mixed media as well.  What can I say, I just enjoy it all!  I love learning new techniques.  It's a thrill and a joy to be asked to be the Guest Designer here at Word Art Wednesday for the Month of November!
