Time for Challenge #45 & Big News

It's time for another great challenge here at Word Art Wednesday.  But first, I wanted to let you all know that we have a new Design Team Member.  Just below this post, there is a post welcoming our new Design Team Member, Jo Ann Atterbury and telling you a little bit about her.  I hope you will take a moment to stop by her blog, take a peek, and welcome her.  She has beautiful art to share with us, and I'm sure you will be blessed by her sweet personality as she shares her art and visits your blogs.  All of our Design Team Members are absolutely wonderful people, and we're SO grateful to God for each of them; as well as our lovely Guest Designers.  God has truly blessed us with a great group of caring crafters with the deep-seeded desire to serve the Lord Jesus Christ.

This week, our free scripture/word art is from Proverbs 16:3.  In this verse, the first word in this passage is "commit".  What this word means is basically "to roll".  God is asking us to roll all our burdens on Him.  All those heaven burdens we carry are most often too much for us, in our weak human flesh, to handle alone.  God is telling us in this verse that if we will roll those burdens, or all the daily works/things we are called to bear each day, and give them over to Him.....He will not only take them and carry them for us, but that He will handle them, and in doing so, our thoughts will be established.  What does that mean, our thoughts will be established?  It simply means that we will be able to clearly see His goodness.  So, if we take our budens (our works, our daily commitments) and we lay them on the Lord, then He will make our thoughts and minds clear so that we aren't bogged down with worry in our minds.  That way, we can see Him clearly for the caring and helpful friend that He wants to be, as the Lord of our lives.

As always, feel free to save this free weekly word/scripture art to your computer. You are welcome to use it in your entry, but not required to do so. As long as you use an encouraging or uplifting sentiment on your project, that is fine. You can also link more than one project each week (up to 5). The more, the merrier. We just hope that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you each week. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules".
Here is this week's free scripture/word art file. We hope that it will be a blessing to you.
