Anything Goes - Weeks #744-745

Welcome back to our FUN challenges here at Word Art Wednesday.  It's always a blessing to have you all stop by to share your amazing cards and projects with us.  There's no possible way for me to express to you all just how much it means to me when you all share your art and talents with us.  We're all SO inspired by your art, and we appreciate each and every entry.  Don't forget also that the more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning in the random draw.  Per the rules (below) you can enter five times per week for a TOTAL of ten entries each challenge.  Just remember not to exceed that number of entries or your prize will be forfeited even if your number is drawn.  We consider you ALL to be WINNERS and we hope you enjoy playing along as much as we enjoy seeing your amazing art.

Our scripture of focus used to create this beautiful piece of word art is Colossians 1:14 which says, "In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins".  As we break down this verse, we learn first that we have REDEMPTION.  This signifies that we, as sinners, are being saved from our sins and the penalty that it brings; allowing us to be reconciled with God and have a relationship with Him.  Next, we're reminded of the FORGIVENESS we receive through the blood of Christ that He shed when He willingly gave His life for us on the Cross of Calvary.  This allows us to start anew, being completely forgiven of all our past mistakes.  Finally, this verse reassures believers of our spiritual freedom and the hope of eternal life through our faith in Jesus Christ.  If you've never yet experienced the redemption and forgiveness God offers, today is the perfect day to ASK God into your life.  As you submit yourself to Him, draw close to Him and learn of Him, all these things and SO many more wonderful truths and blessings from God's Word will give you the peace and hope you've been longing to find.  No matter what your troubles are, Jesus is the answer.  Knowing that He is with you always in this life, and that your eternity will be in His presence forever, are blessings like no other.

As always, you are welcome to save the word art to your computer; but you are never required to use it in order to play along or to win in our challenges.  We welcome you to share all of your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family friendly.  This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards).  You may link up to five (5) projects each week for a total of ten (10) entries for each two-week challenge.  Any entries over that limit will be deleted and will make you ineligible to win.  The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning.  It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and an encouragement to you as we share it.  If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules found under our Page tab marked "Challenge Rules".  Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to our guidelines.   Please know that this doesn't mean we are judging anyone.  We're not.  We are simply attempting to honor God and follow His rules.  Please let us know if you have any questions about anything; and thank you for your understanding and participation.

Anything Goes - Weeks #742-743

It's time again for another fun new challenge here at Word Art Wednesday, and we're super excited to have you join us.  We have another free digital stamp (word art) for you to use if you wish, a brief little devotional based on that scripture to encourage you to this, some great inspiration, another fabulous sponsor and lots of fun here for you to enjoy.  We appreciate everyone who plays along in our challenges, and we really love seeing your amazing and creative art.

Our scripture of focus is Jeremiah 17:14 which says, "Heal me O Lord, and I shall be healed; Save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise".  This is a verse very near and dear to my heart.  Whenever I'm having any type of pain, physical or emotional, I will cry out to God with this verse.  God always hears me and answers my cries....because He is truly my source of healing, salvation and praise.  When this verse was written, Jeremiah was likely suffering some type of physical pain in addition to the heavy burden he was carrying for the people he loved.  Just as Jeremiah called out to God with these words, we can do the same.  God not only hears us, but He longs to be close to us and to be our source of help.  Try to remember this verse next time you need God's help.  God will heal you (give you the strength you need to get through the valleys), He will save you from your sins, and He also deserved our praise.  This verse wraps up all three of those things very simply and is a wonderful verse for healing and strength.  God truly cares about YOU, and He's waiting to hear from you today.

Anything Goes - Weeks #740-741

Welcome by again this week for another super FUN challenge here at Word Art Wednesday.  We're so glad that you've chosen to join us, and we really hope you know how much we appreciate you for sharing your amazing cards and projects with us.  Although we don't always get to every blog/social media account to say hello and leave a comment, we're truly grateful for each and every one of you for sharing your art here.  We wish you the very best of luck in the random draw, and we hope you all have an incredibly blessed and creative time creating your art.

Our scripture of focus used to create our beautiful piece of word art is 2 Corinthians 4:17 and it says, "For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory".  I believe that this verse is a gentle reminder that all the troubles and woes we face in this life are temporary.  It's easy to get caught up in those troubles as opposed to keeping our focus on God - the only One who can make any difference whatsoever in those times of trouble.  God is in control of all things, and He wants to help us through our struggles if we'll let Him.  In this verse, the writer (Paul) uses the term "light affliction" to describe our troubles.  To us, some troubles seem to be huge.  But to God, they are all small things, and they're all things He can handle and work out for us.  The troubles we will face in this life are simply preparing us for an eternal relationship with our Creator.  Paul reminds us that we're working towards our final goal which is "an eternal weight of glory" in the presence of Almighty God.  When life starts getting you down, look to Him.  When we allow God to fully have control in every aspect of our lives, we're letting go of all that worry and giving it to Him.  We must remember that this world is not our (eternal) home, and that these trials WILL pass.  We all need to try to focus on the eternal things and not get all caught up in the worries and woes of life.  God will work out things in the here and now, but we have to call on Him for the ever after.  It's all part of a process that will bless us and draw us ever closer to Him.

Anything Goes - Weeks #738-739

It's always a treat to have you stop by to join us here at Word Art Wednesday, and we have yet another super FUN challenge waiting for you today.  There's lots of inspiration, a fabulous long-time sponsor, a brief devotional to encourage and bless your week (and beyond), and lots of other encouraging elements to share with you all.  Thanks so much for choosing to play along with us.  We value each of you and we really enjoy seeing all the fabulous art you create to share in our challenges.  Best of luck to everyone in the random draw.  You're ALL WINNERS in my book, and I really do PRAISE GOD for each and every one of you.

The Bible verse in focus when creating this lovely word art is Ephesians 5:2(a) which reads, "And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given Himself for us..." which is just the first half (a) of this verse.  So, what does it mean to "walk in love"?  I would first look to our (perfect) example.  We know that "God is love" (1 John 4:7, etc.), so if we are told to "walk in love", we would need to walk in the way Jesus (God) walked this earth.  Walking in love (as Christ did) would involve us becoming very humble.  Jesus walked in love.....all the way to the Cross of Calvary where He died for our sins.  Surely, I can find a way to "walk in love" in a way that honors Him and points others to Him while I'm here on earth.  This is an "agape" (perfect and selfless) love that God has given as our example.  While we will never achieve God's level of perfection as we walk in love, we do honor Him by living in a manner of lifestyle that pleases God, draws us close to Him, and points other to Him as well.  This world is NOT our eternal home, friends.  We WILL, each and every one of us, spend ETERNITY in either Heaven with God or in Hell separated from God.....FOREVER.  Let's each make the right choice today and every day to "walk in love, to walk with God" and to be someone who lives their life to shine for Him.
