Welcome back to Word Art Wednesday, everyone. We're thrilled and appreciative to have you join us for another AWESOME challenge. We have a FUN challenge for you once again with a brief devotional, a lovely digital piece of scriptural word art, lots of great inspiration, an awesome sponsor, and lots of fun waiting for everyone. Thanks so much for being a part of this challenge. You're all very important to us and a vital part of this challenge blog. We couldn't have a challenge blog without participants, so thank you all very much for playing along with us and good luck in the random draw.
Our word art scripture is 1 Corinthians 3:16 and it says, "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the spirit of God dwelleth in you"? This verse (and the verses and chapters surrounding scripture) was originally being written to the Church at Corinth where the church body was experiencing division among themselves due to sin. This particular verse was to remind them, as it should also remind each of us, that if we are truly Christians and we've asked Jesus Christ to dwell within us, we then become the "temple of God". We need to remember that He did not create us to quarrel with one another or to sin against Him. The reason we gather together as a church is to ENCOURAGE one another. Let's each do our part to remember that since God dwells within us, we need to treat our bodies as His temple by not doing things that don't honor Him and bring Him glory. Yes, we all have sin and sinful tendencies; but God WILL help us to turn from our sins if we confess them and turn to Him as our example of how to live our lives. For sure I can say that we can each commit to trying each day, each week, each year...to become a better version of ourselves and to grow more like Him and live our lives more like how He would want us to live. Our bodies are His dwelling place. Let's really remember that as we live for Him each day and make the changes that will bring Him ultimate glory in our lives.
As always, you are welcome to save the word art to your computer; but you are never required to use it in order to play along or to win in our challenges. We welcome you to share all of your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family friendly. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards). You may link up to five (5) projects each week for a total of ten (10) entries per two-week challenge. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning. It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and an encouragement to you as we share it.
