Anything Goes - Weeks #489-490

Welcome back to Word Art Wednesday, everyone!  It's time for another great new challenge and a FUN time for everyone.  Thanks for joining us.  We have one of our favorite long-time sponsors back with us again for this challenge; and we know that everyone LOVES this sponsor.  It's the WONDERFUL Stamp Simply Clear Stamps.  Hurray!  We also have some card samples to inspire you, our lucky winners, and a brief devotional to encourage you.  Oh, and of course....the challenge.  Let's get started with it all, and thanks for joining us.

The scripture in focus is Psalm 33:18.  In this beloved psalm, we read "Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy".  As I looked at this portion of scripture, three questions popped into my  mind.  The first question - Is the eye of the LORD (Jesus Christ) upon me?  Second question - do I fear Him?  And finally, Is my hope in His mercy?  PRAISE GOD I can confidently say YES to all three of these questions.  So can you.  It's simple.  When we say that we "fear" the LORD", it means we acknowledge His holiness and recognize Him for WHO is is.  He is GOD, Jesus Christ our Savior, and the Author/Creator of all things.  To fully recognize God as having full authority over all of (His) creation, is to "fear" Him.  To have HOPE in His mercy means to place our eternal faith in His act of mercy on the cross when He willing gave His life as a spotless sacrifice to cover my sins (and the sins of all mankind).  He showed me His mercy when He allowed me to approach Him and ask Him to save my wretched sinful soul.  PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME...He saved my eternal soul.  He wants to save the soul of every human who will humble themselves, confess their sinful condition, and call on Him for salvation based fully upon placing their HOPE of eternity with Him in Heaven in (nothing but) His sacrifice on the cross.  It's doesn't have to be some "complicated religious event"...it's just a conversation between you and God.  And here's the BLESSING in this scripture.....the EYE of the LORD will forever be upon me (us).  Once I am His, I'm no longer alone.....ever.  What a JOY to know that His all-seeing eye is forever watching over me.  Do you fear God?  Is your hope in His mercy?  Does He keep His eye on you?   It sure feels good to know.

As always, you are welcome to save the word art to your computer; but you are never required to use it in order to play along in our challenges or to win.   We welcome you to share your all your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards).  You may link up to five (5) projects each week, for a total of ten (10) entries per two-week challenge. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning.  It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you as we share it. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules".  Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to the guidelines.  Please know that this doesn't mean we are judging anyone.  We're simply attempting to honor God and follow His rules.  Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation.
