Anything Goes #450-#451

Welcome by, everyone!  We're getting a very late start for our challenge, and I do apologize for that.  No great excuse, really...just life getting in the way.  Well, before I'm any more tardy for this party, let's just jump right in and I'll come back and clean up this blog post a bit when I'm able.  Again, please accept our apologies for not being fully prepared for today's post.  Summer is a busy time for all of u.  Thanks for understanding, everyone.

The scripture used for the word art is 2 Peter 3:9 which says, "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance".   This verse reminds us that God has an appointed time, a set time, that He will come again (that's just a fact).  It always breaks my heart when I read these verses and stories; only to realize that, sadly, most Jews are now still "waiting the coming Messiah or Savior".  He has already come to fulfill the prophecies, His work was complete, and He is coming again on His appointed day (only He knows when He will return).  The Lord God, Jesus Christ, would prefer that all men be saved.  He knows, however, that at some point when He returns, some will have rejected Him.  This breaks God's heart, but it is unavoidable because of man's sinful condition and free will to choose.  There will come a day when ALL men WILL know Him, and WILL bow before Him.  Hopefully, we've all "met" Him on a personal level before that day.  This is the will (or heart) of God to desire that none would perish; but it still remains up to each individual person.  What will you choose?  Be very certain.  Eternity is a VERY long time, friends.

As always, you are welcome to save the word art to your computer; but you are never required to use it in order to play along in our challenges or to win.   We welcome you to share your all your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards).  You may link up to five (5) projects each week, for a total of ten (10) entries per two-week challenge. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning.  It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you as we share it. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules".  Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to the guidelines.  Please know that this doesn't mean we are judging anyone.  We're simply attempting to honor God and follow His rules.  Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation.
