Welcome back to Word Art Wednesday! We are delighted that you're here to join all the fun we have planned. What an exciting challenge we just finished up with Taylored Expressions. Are you ready to see the TWO winners' names? How exciting. God has blessed us with such AMAZING sponsors, and we have a brand new sponsor (for us, anyway) and we're SUPER excited about it. Let's get started right away with this FUN new challenge.
Our word art scripture was created by the talented Karen Murray. If you're ever looking for a specific Bible verse in word art form, Karen has oodles of them on her fabulous blog, Papercraft Memories. The verses for this challenge are 1 Corinthians 1:4-5, which say, "I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; that in every thing ye are enriched by Him, in all utterance and in all knowledge". As we know, these words were written to the (people of) Church at Corinth; and these words are a continuation of his written thanks for the church. But he (Paul, the writer) was also reminding the people of God's "enrichments"; and how God plentifully and wonderfully provided for them through His own doing. Because Paul, like most of these church members, was a poor man who came from humble beginnings; he was clearly able to see all the blessings God was continually providing for His people. He was building up their morale by reminding them of God's amazing provision. Sometimes we need that same gentle nudge to be reminded of how INCREDIBLY blessed we are. I have no doubt that each of YOU (just like me) have your troubles, your pains, and your struggles. This verse (like so much of God's precious word) reminds us that we are SO very blessed. God has provided for us far beyond what we need or deserve. I try every day to be mindful and very aware of even the smallest things. We take a whole lot for granted, my friends. I encourage you all.....the next time something goes wrong.....just stop for a moment and start counting your blessings. For me, I know I have a lovely home, vehicles to drive, family, friends, food, more "junk/stuff" in this house than we need or deserve, and...the list goes on and on and on. Let's be real....we are SO blessed. God wants so very badly to KNOW you and to guide you "in all utterance and in all knowledge". That means we need to think before we speak sometimes. God will not only bless and provide for our physical needs; but He will also give us all the words we need (and exactly when we need them) when we are seeking Him. God actually wants to help you figure out every aspect of your life. Have you been looking to God to enrich you? Well, He wants to show you His amazing grace in all utterance and in all knowledge. The first step is simply asking Him to help you. He will never leave you to figure out things on your own. Just let God know that you want to hear from Him, and He will show YOU his grace. Remember....in the Book of James we are told that "we have not because we ask not". The Lord, Jesus Christ, absolutely WANTS to know you and to be close to you, but we have to invite Him in.
As always, you are welcome to save the free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are never required to use it in order to play along in our challenges. We welcome you share your all your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards). You may link up to five (5) projects each week, for a total of ten (10) entries per two-week challenge. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning. It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you as we share it. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules". Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to the guidelines. Please know that this doesn't mean we are judging anyone. We're simply attempting to honor God and follow His rules. Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation!
