Welcome by again this week, everyone! It's time for another awesome challenge here at Word Art Wednesday, and we couldn't be more delighted to have YOU here to play along with us. We absolutely LOVE seeing the amazing cards and projects you share with us, and we also enjoy visiting your blog and getting to know you. We hope you enjoy your time here, and we also hope you will stop by often. Did you know that you can share and enter five projects per week for a total of ten (10) entries over the two-week time span of our challenges? It's true! And we hope to see all the fabulous creations you make during this challenge. Be sure to link them all to our gallery for your chance to win one of the awesome prizes being offered for this (and every) challenge.
Our scripture used to create this piece of word art is Psalm 92:4 which says, "For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work. I will triumph in the works of thy hands." While we know that God has done many wonderful and amazing things by "the work of His hands", there is some controversy as to exactly what "work of His hands" this verse refers to. Some say it is referring to creation, while others believe it is in reference to what He had done for the people of Israel.....and there have been other guesses as well. To me, it isn't always super important to know exactly what was being referred to in a particular passage. What's far more important is to simply recognize that God has done MANY amazing things by the "work of His hands", and it really should give us cause to praise Him. I know this......HE DIED FOR US. That, in and of itself, is reason to triumph. But that's not all He has done. When we stop and think of His sovereign majesty and ALL that He has done for us, we can't help but be grateful. He created us, He loves us, He created and gave us this beautiful planet on which to live and thrive, He provides for us, He suffered and died for our sins, He rose again and has been preparing a place for us, He has forgiven us (those who have asked), and He is coming again for us. These are just a few of the things He has done for us. If you aren't yet able to truly "triumph in the works of His hands", I hope that you will make today the day that changes everything. You can KNOW FOR SURE that you will spend eternity with Him in Heaven, and you will know all these blessings and more simply by calling on Him to save you. It's that easy. No jumping through hoops, going to meetings, taking vows or wearing special clothes, etc. Just call on the name of Jesus (God in human flesh) and tell Him, "Lord, I know you are God, I know you died and rose again to pay for my sins, and I'm asking you now to save my soul and help me live for you". That's it! That's all you need to do to experience the joy found only in Him! This is our joy, and our hope for everyone. We truly hope that you are triumphing in the works of His hands.
As always, you are welcome to save the free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are never required to use it in order to play along in our challenges. We welcome you share your all your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards). You may link up to five (5) projects each week, for a total of ten (10) entries per two-week challenge. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning. It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you as we share it. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules". Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to our guidelines. Please know that this doesn't mean we are judging anyone. We're simply attempting to honor God and follow His rules. Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation!
