Welcome by, everyone! It's hard to believe that it's already December and that Christmas is just a few short weeks away. We realize that this is a very busy time of year, so we are especially grateful that you take time to share your wonderful cards and projects with us. We have our primary 2017 sponsor, Simon Says Stamp, sponsoring their last challenge with us. We have oodles of FABULOUS new sponsors lined up for 2018 and I will be posting all our sponsors at the beginning of the new year. But for right now, we are so grateful to have Simon Says Stamp offering a $25 Gift Certificate to one lucky participant for this challenge.
The scripture for this piece of word art is Luke 2:12, and it's interesting to think about the fact that as the angels proclaimed the birth of Jesus Christ, they appeared with this message to shepherds watching their flocks in the fields. What a blessing to know that God sent these angels to simple men...doing simple jobs. This message didn't come to a king, or to the owner of the largest business in all of the nation. God speaks to common people - like you and like me. We are never "too low" or too common for Divine visits from God, and He can speak to us at any time and in any place. When we have an honest calling and God is in the center of our lives, He will always speak to us and give us the messages He wants us to have. But, like the shepherds who heard from the angels, we have to remain open to hearing what God is telling us and remain willing to act on His messages. In this case, the message was about the arrival of Jesus Christ; God in human flesh. But as always, the praise goes to God. Let's all remember that God still speaks to us today, and that we need to be always ready to hear Him when He does. We also need to always remember to PRAISE HIM for who He is, for what He does, and for loving us enough to care about communicating with us.
As always, you are welcome to save the free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are never required to use it in order to play along in our challenges. We welcome you share your all your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards). You may link up to five (5) projects each week. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning. It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you as we share it. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules". Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to our guidelines. Please know that this doesn't mean we are judging anyone. We're simply attempting to honor God and follow His rules. Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation!
