Challenge #286-287 - Anything Goes

Welcome back by the Word Art Wednesday Challenge Blog.  We are so glad you've chosen to stop by to join us.  We have THREE awesome sponsors for this challenge, one very lucky winner from our last challenge, a lovely new piece of free word art (Matthew 5:6) for you to save and use if/as desired, our Top 3 Honors, and just SO much fun planned for you all.  So, let's just get started with this fun new challenge, shall we?

As we think about the scripture from our new word art (Matthew 5:6), we are reminded that our Lord, Jesus Christ; God in human flesh came to earth and dwelt among us as a man, and He experienced physical human needs, such as his need for water (most especially following His time in the wilderness).  But God reminds us here that even greater than our physical need to quench human thirst, there should be inside of each saved person an even stronger desire (a deeper thirst) for the love, knowledge, fellowship and eternal surety found only in Him.  Even Jesus Himself recognized this much deeper spiritual need that should lie in each of our hearts; most especially as we reflect on the fact that this world (earth) is not our home.  Earth (the lives we live here) is only a temporary resting place on our way to an eternal destination (either with Him in Heaven, or separated from Him forever in a literal Hell) for each of us dependent upon our relationship with Him.  Please ponder this truth: Eternity is a very long time to be wrong, or to be stubborn about.  It's not just "a myth" or even a mystery for that matter.  It's a simple choice.  Eternity (forever and ever) rejoicing in Heaven with Him, or eternity separated from him forever in Hell (burning, falling, gnashing of teeth, pain and misery with no end).  Contrary to what Hollywood and others would like us to believe, there simply aren't "many roads that lead to the same place", my dear friends.  Make no mistake that God's Word is real, it is true, and it is the final authority (He is the final authority).  We know that EVERY knee shall bow and EVERY tongue WILL confess that Jesus Christ is God and LORD.  Have you been thirsting for God lately?

As always, you are welcome to save the free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are never required to use it in order to play along in our challenges.   We welcome you share your all your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards).  You may link up to five (5) projects each week. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning.  It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you as we share it. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules".  Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to our guidelines.  Please know that this doesn't mean we are judging anyone.  We're simply attempting to honor God and follow His rules.  Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation!
