Welcome by today, everyone! We're so glad you've stopped by to check out our challenge, and we are excited to see all the beautiful art you will create and share with us. God has given each of us specific gifts and talents that we can use to bring Him glory, to encourage and bless others, and even for the purpose of just having fun! Thank you for joining us. Let's get started with our fun new challenge.
Our word art scripture for this challenge is John 12:23, and it says, "And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified". Jesus, God in human flesh, came to this earth to fulfill a very specific ministry. He came to minister to the people, to share His love and His wonderful plan of salvation for the sins of mankind. When God spoke these words "The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified", He knew that the time had come for His death, burial and resurrection (the ultimate purpose of His ministry here on earth); and that He/His Father would be glorified through this. You and I also have a purpose for being here on earth. We each have some similar ministries (our marriages, our children/family, our jobs, etc.) and some of us have additional ministries (prison ministry, teaching Sunday School, helping those in need, praying for others, etc.). Through our ministries, our ultimate goal should also be bringing glory and honor to God. We don't (or shouldn't) perform our good deeds so that others will think we're awesome. Our ministries here on earth are for the purpose of bringing glory to God, and reaching the lost world with His great love and letting others know that God loves us and died for us. If you don't feel like you're currently being used of God, let today be the day that changes. You can become a prayer warrior, or an encourager, or you can get involved in any number of worthy ministries. Just like Jesus Christ came to seek and to save that which was lost, YOU and I can make a difference here on earth and bring glory to God every day by committing our lives to doing things that matter in eternity. Let today be the day we each say "(Lord, in my life)....the hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified".
As always, you are welcome to save the free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are not required to use it in order to play along in our challenges. We welcome you share your all your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards). You may link up to five (5) projects each week. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning. It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you as we share it. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules". Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to our guidelines. Please know that this doesn't mean we are judging anyone. We're simply attempting to honor God and follow His rules. Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation!
