Well, it's here. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day (at least in the US); and this time of giving thanks is observed all around the world. For those who have placed their eternal faith in Jesus Christ, it's a time to show our gratefulness for ALL that we have; both in this life and in the next. From all of us here at Word Art Wednesday, we wish you a very blessed Thanksgiving Day. When we count our blessings, we thank God for you and for the art you share with us. Thank you for sharing your talents with us each week. We appreciate you more than words can express.
As we look at this week's scripture, Psalm 13:6, we hear the Psalmist, David, saying "I will sing unto the Lord, because He hath dealt bountifully with me". Of course, God provided for David's physical needs on this earth; but additionally, David knew that God had dealt bountifully with him in that He provided a way for him to get to Heaven after this life. When we have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, it brings peace to our troubled hearts that no one and nothing can ever take away (Romans 8:39). Not only do we have much to be grateful for here on earth, but we have eternity to look forward to......and that's a WONDERFUL eternity in the immediate presence of God in Heaven. When David wrote this, he was obviously not just talking about having a blessed life here on earth. He was remembering his (our) infallible certainty, and the assurance it holds. This world is facing uncertain and troubling times; but as a child of God, our eternity is NOT uncertain. Just like David said in this beautiful psalm, "He hath dealt bountifully with me". We can sing in our hearts; knowing that (once we've called on Jesus to save us), our destiny is certain. Yes, He has dealt bountifully with us. Let's always be sure to count our blessings!
As always, you are welcome to save this week's free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are not required to use it in order to play along in our challenges. We welcome you share your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards). You may link up to five (5) projects each week. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning. It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you each week. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules". Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to our guidelines. Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation!
