Welcome to Word Art Wednesday! We're so happy you've stopped by to play along in another fun challenge with us. We have lots of fun for you again this week; including our free word art/scripture file, two AWESOME prizes, and two lucky winners. Thank you so much for joining us, and please know how blessed we feel that you have chosen to visit us and to share your talents with us.
Our word art scripture for this week is Psalm 25:5, and the psalmist cries out to God; asking Him to "lead him in the truth" (the right, correct ad righteous way to live according to God's Word), and asks God to "teach him", meaning that he knew he needed further instruction. This is SO very important. Many Christians (even pastors and leaders) sometimes feel that they know enough. The truth is that we can NEVER know enough. When we get saved, we should have an unending desire to grow in knowledge and to never stop learning more from God's Word. It goes on to say, "thou art the God of my salvation" and this reminds us that our eternal salvation comes ONLY through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. There is NO OTHER WAY to get to Heaven (or to obtain eternal salvation) but through Him. The last part of this verse says, "on Thee do I wait night and day", which means that no matter how busy we get with life's business, we need to be continually seeking His wisdom. We must be ready and willing to learn, continually listening to and seeking His instruction, willing to change when needed, eager to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, willing to obey His commands, and joyfully living the Christian life. As Christians, we should NEVER feel that we've reached a place of having enough knowledge. Once we give our livese to Him, God puts in us a desire to grow and to change. The more we study God's Word, the closer we grow to Him; and the easier it becomes to know ad do His will, and to share our experiences with others. What a beautiful prayer to ask God to continue to teach us. He has SO MUCH that He wants to share with us, and we will be better and happier people if we will just listen to what He wants to teach us through His precious Word. Dive in, and be blessed!
As always, you are welcome to save this week's free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are not required to use it in order to play along in our challenges. We welcome you share your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards). You may link up to five (5) projects each week. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning. It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you each week. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules". Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to our guidelines. Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation!
