Hello friends! We're so glad that you've stopped by to play along with us this week. We enjoy seeing the wonderful cards and projects you share each week. If you've played along before, we thank you for being a faithful follower and sharing your art. And if you're new to Word Art Wednesday, we welcome you and we're glad you're here. It's always a blessing to have old friends and new friends, and you're all welcome and you're each appreciated.
Let's take a closer look at our word art scripture for this week - Psalm 72:18. It says, "Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel" - the psalmist is praising the the LORD (God in the Old Testament/Jesus Christ in the New Testament). With all that He had done for Israel at the time when this was written (and even before), and with all that He has done from that point until now, and will continue to do in the future - we know that He is awesome and worthy of our praise. As Christians, we should continually lift up our hearts with praise for Him, and encourage others to lift up His precious name as well. He alone is worthy of our praise, and it is right to bless and praise Him always in all ways, and to call His name blessed. "Who alone doth wondrous things" - in light of all that God has done, and because He is holy; it is right to realize that the good acts of mankind could not be done without Him. It is only through God's empowering that man can do good, and in comparison these are little things. What He has done, however, are done of His own power. These are WONDROUS things that are far-reaching and ever-lasting; just as His actions in the end times will be. This psalm really leads into the next verses, and helps you to fully understand it. But what it's basically saying is that the precious name of the LORD (Jesus Christ) should always be blessed (we shouldn't just flippantly say His name because He is holy), and He alone does wondrous things of His own power. We serve an awesome God - the only one true God, Jesus Christ.
As always, you are welcome to save this week's free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are not required to use it in order to play along in our challenges. We welcome you share your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards). You may link up to five (5) projects each week. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning. It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you each week. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules". Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to our guidelines. Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation!
