Welcome back for another great challenge. It's Wednesday again, and time for more fun, fellowship, inspiration, art, and some really great prizes. We are so glad you have chosen to stop by and join us. We couldn't have a challenge blog without all our wonderful followers and participants. We praise God for you, and we're SO glad you're here. We have lots of great fun planned again this week, so let's get started.
Our focus verse for this week is Isaiah 52:7. There are several things to understand about this verse. While it is absolutely correct to assume that the "good tidings that publisheth peace" is the good news of our promised salvation through the given Messiah; we must look even deeper to fully comprehend this story. Let's just break down this verse so that we can understand it one step at a time. First, we hear "how lovely on the mountains..." - this is speaking about Judea - the area to which the glad tidings were being delivered. Next, we read "are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings" - the lovely feet referred to in this passage were actually the feet of a messenger who delivered the good news of a decree from Cyrus allowing the release of captive Jews from Babylon. When we read "that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation: that saith unto Zion, They God reigneth"! It is talking about the "God of Zion", which of course, is the same God we know as Jesus Christ. At that time, He was the promised Messiah. So, while this verse was written about the release of captive Jews, it is still a parallel to remind us that our God is coming, and that He still reigns (and always will). While we aren't experiencing the exact same troubles that the people of Judea experienced at that time, people today are experiencing MANY different struggles all over the world. Missionaries, journalists, and many others are suffering persecution (and even death) at the hands of Godless men. People like you and I suffer sadness and loss, difficult and trying times......But just as in the days of Old Testament writings, there is another wonderful decree proclaiming GOOD NEWS, proclaiming peace, happiness, and hope. All the good news and promises for the future we need are found within the pages of God's precious and holy Word. Our Bible is FILLED with GOOD NEWS. The good news of Jesus Christ is ALL we will ever need. Our God reigns!
As always, you are welcome to save this week's free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are not required to use it in order to play along in our challenges. We welcome you share your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards). You may link up to five (5) projects each week. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning. It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you each week. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules". Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to our guidelines. Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation!

I am using the same image but with the new scripture. I don't know why my name doesn't appear as simply "Faye" because that's what I am typing into the entry form.
Thanks DT for sharing your beautiful art.
Thanks so much for choosing my card. I'll email you next.
Crafty hugs,
