Challenge #194 - Anything Goes/Family Friendly

Here we are again on a Wednesday, which means it's time for the best little challenge around.  We're SO blessed to have you here with us, and just wait until you see our FUN sponsors for this week's challenge, as well as all the great inspiration from our talented Design Team.  Let's get right to our challenge.

Our focus verse for this week is Job 42:2, and it has a beautiful life lesson for us all.  If you've ever read through the story of Job, you know that Job's struggles in life were similar to those of many of us.  It's a great story to read, and I encourage you to read the Book of Job so that you can understand the process Job went through during his journey to trusting God completely.  By the time we get to chapter 42 of Job, he has learned much of what God hoped to teach him.  He realized that his rebellion and pride needed to be confessed and forgiven so that he could experience true fellowship with God.  The same is true with us.  We all sin; but in order to restore our fellowship with Jesus, we need to confess our faults to Him.  The best lesson we can glean from the story of Job is to realize that, just like Job, we will never understand all of God's ways.  Job learned, through very difficult lessons, that in truly knowing God and trusting Him fully, he could learn to trust that God's ways are ALWAYS best; even when we don't understand things.  Knowing and trusting God means that we don't need to comprehend (nor are we able to comprehend) the things we will suffer, or the sufferings of others.  Having this trust in God allows us to rest assured; knowing His ways are higher than our own, and that He has us in His hands.  We are unable to hide our true feelings from God - He knows everything we think; and nothing is hidden.  He wants us to experience that true faith that will allow us to trust Him when troubles come our way (and they will).  We can take joy in knowing that He has a greater plan for us.  This world is not our home.  We simply need to trust Him here, so that we can have fellowship with Him now, and in eternity.

As always, you are welcome to save this week's free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are not required to use it in order to play along in our challenges.   We welcome you share your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards).  You may link up to five (5) projects each week. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning.  It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you each week. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules".  Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to our guidelines.  Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation!

Here's this week's scripture/word art file.
We hope it will be a blessing to you.

I am so thankful to have found this site! I have always wanted to do something like this!!! Thanks so much for the time and effort put into designing each verse, as well as the study to go with. I couldn't print this time, so went with hand lettering, hope that's OK! Super excited to play along!

I always love visiting the blog and taking part in the challenges too.
Both the DT creations and the text/script are always so inspiring.

This week I chose a sentiment for my card that is very personal to me. And in a similar sort of way your scripture this week sums it up too.

Ill health and it's consequences often cannot be changed, but it doesn't mean we have to give up. Nor should we cast about for blame.
We just have to keep faith and try our best always.xx
