What an amazing week we've had! Thanks again for joining us, and for sharing your art in our challenges. We're SO glad you're here, and we hope that you enjoy your visit this week. For the second week in a row, we have THREE amazing sponsors, which means YOU have three chances of winning. You can share up to five (5) projects each week to increase your odds of winning. Just make sure you read our Challenge Rules if you are not familiar with them. We want you to be eligible for the prizes. We're also delighted to welcome our April Guest Designer, Giovana Smith, this week. You will love the beautiful cards she shares with us.
This week, our scripture file is from the beautiful verse Psalm 126:3, which says "The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad". This particular Psalm is a favorite, and I strongly encourage reading it in its entirety. It's only six verses long, but it is extremely powerful and encouraging. It was written in reference to their release from Babylon, and what was happening was SO exciting for them that it was compared to "being in a dream". The psalmist also prayed that others who were exiled would return in "floods that fill the normally dry streams in the desert", and that their effort to restore their nation (although difficult) would someday, with the LORD'S leading, come to fruition like a harvest. These are beautiful and encouraging ways of expressing their hope for the future. Although these words were written in reference to a people, and a situation, so many years ago; they are relevant today. With all that is going on the world today, these words are very relevant, and quite encouraging. God promises us that when we go forward "bearing precious seed" or sharing His truths, we will also be able to influence people who will find their way to Heaven "in floods that fill a normally dry stream in the desert", or in "full fruition like a harvest". There is also great joy in knowing all that He has done for us, for generations past and generations future; and we can be part of sharing His love moving forward. This not only makes US happy, but it brings great joy and gladness to the lost we reach, and to the LORD. With all that He has done for us, we need to be faithful to share His love with others. We really hope that this verse (and this psalm) will be a blessing and encouragement to you.
As always, you are welcome to save this week's free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are not required to use it in order to play along in our challenges. We welcome you share your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards). You may link up to five (5) projects each week. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning. It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you each week. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules". Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to these guidelines. Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation!
