Welcome back, everyone! That seemed like a really long two weeks, didn't it? We hope that you're all ready for 2015 to begin, and ready for all the wonderful blessings God has in store for each of us (both individually and collectively) in the days ahead. We have several really exciting things happening here at Word Art Wednesday in the new year, and we are SO blessed to have each of you share the excitement with us. In the next week, you will see our new 2015 sponsors listed on the blog's side-bar with logos and links to each of their wonderful shops. How exciting! God has been SO GOOD to us. And YOU will have the opportunity to win some of the most AMAZING prizes available in the crafting community - just by playing along in our fun weekly challenges.
This week's word art file is from a beautiful scripture in the Book of James, Chapter 3 and verse 17. It speaks about the wisdom from above. It tells us that when our reasoning and wisdom comes from God above, it will always be first and foremost pure (not corrupted by the world). God's wisdom and advice is perfect which is quite different from worldly advice from our friends. It is also peaceable (will have a tender resolution), gentle (without confrontation), and easy to be intreated (meaning it is compliant and open to reason). It isn't argumentative. That's in great contrast to how the world would have us deal with a bad situation. God's wisdom and advice are calm and calculated, and will lead to a peaceful resolution. His wisdom and advice is also full of mercy (forgiving), and good fruits (visible signs of maturity in the Christian), without partiality (not playing favorites) and without hypocrisy (never contradicting itself). Let's be honest here. When we ask humans for help concerning a difficult matter, we will receive all kinds of different "helpful ideas", won't we? Some of them not so kind, and ultimately, not so helpful. When we are quick to turn to God for the answers we need, He will always give us the help we need. And the help He gives us will always hold all these worthy attributes outlined in this beautiful verse. The next time you are faced with a difficult situation, ASK GOD for the help you need and then wait on Him for the advice you need. He will lead you through His precious Word to find the answers you need. He also speaks to us when we are open to hear Him. His ways will always be wise, pure, peaceable, gentle, compliant/open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. This is definitely the kind of wisdom and advice I want in my life. How about you?
As always, you are welcome to save this week's free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are not required to use it in order to play along in our challenges. We welcome you share your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of altered or digital art (not just limited to cards). You may link up to five (5) projects each week. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning. It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you each week. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules". Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to these guidelines. Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation!
