We have some INCREDIBLY exciting news to share with you all! Our dear friend, Sister in the Lord, and past Design Team Member, the talented Diane Noble, has re-joined our Design Team full-time. We are SO pleased to have her back, and we hope that you will give her a warm welcome as she jumps back into the team! She has a darling new little digi shop called Diane's Daydream Designs, and she (along with some of her store's other artists) will be sponsoring some of our upcoming challenges. We hope you will take a moment to check out her shop, and stop by her blog to welcome her. We know that her art will be a blessing to you, and that her love for the Lord will also be a blessing to those of you who play along as she visits your blogs and comments; getting to know you all.
This week's word art/scripture is from Isaiah Chapter 40. In verse 27 of this passage, we learn that Jacob (on behalf of the people of Israel) asked God why He has hidden Himself from them and passed over them. And in the following verse (28), we learn that God does not grow wearing and faint; but that He has great strength and understanding. So, when we read the more familiar verse (our word art for this week - verse 31), God's Word tells us that when we wait on Him, we will attain what He possesses. We can exchange our weak, faint, human flesh and be renewed with the strength that God possesses. God will give us His attributes - and we won't grow tired or weary. It's normal to want things HOW we want them, and WHEN we want them; but when we desire this, we will find ourselves tired and weary - much like Jacob and the people of Israel. But in learning to wait on God and His perfect timing, we can have His strength and we won't have to grow weary and tired. What a blessing to know that God truly WANTS for us to have His attributes and to be like Him; but it will require us to WAIT on Him. His ways are always worth the wait so that we can receive His blessings. Praise God
DID YOU KNOW that we've only hit 200 entries ONE TIME? We did give away a special prize to celebrte that milestone, and we want you all to know that Karen has purchased a GORGEOUS Die-Namics flower die-cut that she will give away when we hit the big 200 mark again!
As always, you are welcome to save this week's free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are not required to use it in order to play along in our challenges. We welcome you share your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. You can also link more than one project each week (up to 5 each week). The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning. We just want God's Word to be a blessing and encouragement to you each week. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules". They have been recently revised, and we ask that you check them out if you aren't familiar with our challenge guidelines. Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to these guidelines. We will continue to delete entries that don't adhere to the challenge rules and simply aren't God-honoring; so PLEASE think about what you're entering before you just link up. It MUST be an encouraging, uplifting, and friendly project. Our guidelines are pretty straight-forward, so please do read them if you have any questions about what is acceptable. We want you all to be eligible for the prizes, so thank you for respecting this rule.
