Welcome back, everyone! Thanks so much for joining us again this week for another fun Anything Goes challenge. We are excited about all the beautiful projects you've been sharing with us, and all the ways that God has been blessing our challenge blog. Please know that you are truly important to us, and that we not only praise God for you; but that we also pray for you. God is SO GOOD, and we are grateful to Him for each of you who joins us and shares their art in our challenges. We pray that God will bless you as you create and share your wonderful projects with us.
Our word art/scripture this week is 1 Timothy 6:6, and it tells us that "godliness with contentment is great gain." Many people, including some Christians, are more content when they achieve their monetary goals, and we sometimes find ourselves comparing our financial situations with that of others. This scripture is telling us that when we achieve a close, personal relationship with the Lord; and find true contentment with the simple fact that we are living the life God wants us to live, we have actually gained (achieved) something far more important than fortune. Living in the will of God gives us true inner peace, and will comfort us far more than becoming rich with money. Those who are truly "rich" are the ones who have learned to be content with their circumstances; knowing that they are doing what is right in the sight of the Lord, and not necessarily being wealthy with worldly riches. We achieve godliness by modeling ourselves after the example He set for us, and learning to be content and to praise Him for all the blessings in our lives (not just financially). This is how we learn to gain, and hold onto, what is truly important in our lives; by living our lives the way God teaches us, and letting the finances and other details fall into place. He cannot bless us until we first learn this true meaning of contentment. What a wonderful piece of scripture.
You are welcome to save this week's free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are not required to use it in order to play along in our challenges. We welcome you share your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. You can also link more than one project each week (up to 5 each week). The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning. We just want God's Word to be a blessing and encouragement to you each week. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules". They have been recently revised, and we ask that you check them out if you aren't familiar with our challenge guidelines. Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to these guidelines.
