Before we get into this week's post, please accept our most sincere THANKS for all your gorgeous entries last week. It's SO exciting to see the gorgeous creations you all share. God has truly blessed you all with talents, and when you share those God-given talents with us, it blesses us beyond what words can adequately express. We see His goodness time and time again, and we praise HIM for allowing us to share your art with you. God's love and goodness shine through your art, and we are SO very grateful for your participation in our challenges. As Word Art Wednesday continues to grow, and we meet new friends, we NEVER want to lose sight of the One who makes it all possible.
This week's verse is from the Book of Isaiah in the Old Testament, and it was actually written to Israel as a promise from God. Yet it's so wonderful to see how these promises, written SO long ago, still apply to us today as God's children. He promises to guard us against every weapon; whether physical or emotional; including when our enemy tries to speak out against us. God will be there to defend us. What a wonderful truth from His Word! This life can be very difficult, and trials WILL come our way from time to time, but God is on our side. Now, that's something to be really excited about! We've all experienced having someone try to discourage us. But DON'T let it get to you. This verse, as well as much of God's Word, is filled with promises of His unending love and protection over us. We are always safe when we learn to trust in the promises of God.
You are welcome to save this week's free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are not required to use it in order to play along in the challenge. We simply hope to have you share your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-freindly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. You can also link more than one project each week (up to 5). The more, the merrier. We just hope that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you each week. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules".
